Staff made eatting there a pleasure. Drinks nd food came fast. The atmosphere was awsome. Very clean bathroom clean with pleasant sent. They serve alcoholic beverages which are yes, yes, yes made right. Food was impeccable. Plenty of parking. Reasonably priced for the amount of food and drinks we got. Definitely going again. I recommend trying anything on menu that appeals to you. You can't go wrong.

Waiters always nice food always good close to home . The wings are always great . Breakfast is ok they recently changed their home fries but I still come back..
Diners like this one are becoming a rarity. The service and hospitality akin to diners of old, welcoming , and well versed treated us like we're regulars. The food came out super speedy and was amazed with the quality .....we ordered the a burger which was larger than expected ....fries came out Soo hot and well seasoned ....coleslaw was delicious and home made....also had a patty melt which was as classic as you can get it .....tasty. for the price , good food and service of old time diner experience come to duchess of West Haven !!!
This is one of the few good old fashioned diners in the area. The owner was cordial. The menu is that of a typical diner, offering breakfast, lunch & dinner items. I ordered the hot pastrami on rye bread with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo & mustard. No sauerkraut or reuben for me, thanks. I love the kosher dill pickles on the side. They offer a wide variety of desserts. I noticed that there was a cocktail bar and cute little candies and after dinner mints.
Great staff that had no problem squeezing me in for one last meal before they closed. Delicious gyro and burger highly recommend.
We had breakfast here and the food was good. Great portions and price. We had turkeybacon omelets with spinach and cheese, pancakes, grits, hashbrowns and French toast. The French toast didn't have much flavor but everything else was good. Traditional diner feel. The service was timely and waitress was courteous. The owner walks around, says hello and sees if everything is okay.
This is one of the cleanest and coziest restaurant I have a ever been when I visited I Connecticut. The food is nice, and great and the crowd is classy and responsible. The customer service is super. There’s wheelchair accessible parking and also entrance for the differently abled. It also be easily noticed from a car in normal traffic.
