The tallest bridge of Pittsburgh and one of the best views of the city for photography. There's a walking path along each side so plenty of space
Great pedestrian walking strip across the bridge. It's at least 3 people wide so you don't feel scared or claustrophobic walking across the bridge. Terrific views of the river & city & it's especially beautiful at night when the city is lit up.
West End Bridge, is great. I live nearby. I can access the whole city from it. 376 east and west, 279 north and south, North Shore, Downtown, 65, 51, North Side, and South Side. Traffic flows well, even at rush hour. Speaking of rush hour, let's all try to be considerate. If we are considerate, traffic will flow even better. Peace!
West End bridge in Pittsburgh is pretty decent overall. Road quality is pretty good. If you are going or coming to the West End part of town across the bridge I would drop my rating to 3 stars. The traffic patterns of the "West End Circle" are not terrible but far from the best road design. It works fine but is a bit convoluted to be honest. Bridge was completely rehabbed probably 20 years ago so your not in danger of going into the Ohio river! Lol..????

Best spot, the west end bridge to watch Pittsburgh fireworks, like seriously you get the whole city background behind the fireworks, makes a great picture and video
If you're a photographer shooting sunrise photography, this is the place to go for beautiful shots of the city. try it in the summertime, or a very peaceful day and you'll get nice shots with calm water. watch out for cars and trucks passing by, because your camera will shake for long exposures
If you want a unique view of the Point, take a walk over the West End Bridge. It's loud, it's noisy, it shakes. Best time to cross is during the day. You really don't need to be crossing it at night, unless you are there for the 4th of July fireworks display.
