I would like to thank West Coast Auto Transport for shipping my car from WA State to Maryland with my vehicle arriving in perfect condition! I was assigned them through a broker, and West Coast Auto Transport let me know during the estimated delivery window of a small delay which I appreciated hearing about, and they were very kind to let me know the contact info for the driver, who gave me helpful updates via text on delivery and dropped my car off right at my door! He was very friendly and professional and gave me the correct paperwork with no questions asked! Great experience.
Car shipped from Virginia to Washington. All told the vehicle arrived in the same condition it left. They never hassled me about the personal junk I had left in the car, and it looks like the even took the time to remove the toll transponder and place it in the console so I wouldn't get billed as they drove through toll roads.
3 stars as the communication is nonexistent. The delivery was 4 days late which I can understand considering this is a cross country journey in January, but each time I called to check the status, nobody would answer the phone and nobody called me back. Finally my wife called one of the drivers who gave me the number for the yard in Lynwood where they dropped the car off to complete its journey on rollback. Considering it was only 30 mins away, I just picked it up there.
There for a while I was starting to question the legitimacy of this company and wondered if my car was stolen. I'm happy to say it wasn't.
So yes, they are a legit company and yes, you will get your vehicle eventually. You'll just be in the dark the entire time, even if it's late. My advice to anyone shipping a car is to invest in one of those little tracker "air pods" ir some gps device so you will at least know the whereabouts of your vehicle... trust me, it's the only feedback you'll get.
Dan from West Coast Auto moved my Honda Civic from Virginia to Washington. He was on time, easy to communicate with, and delivered my car safely. I was really pleased with how easy the whole process was, especially as I was not present at either the pick up or the drop off, and had to coordinate with friends to handle both interactions. The price was also very reasonable.
Hopefully, I won’t have to transport a vehicle long distance again, but I would absolutely use West Coast Auto Transport if I had the need.
The communication could use a little work, but the day of delivery, the driver was informative and let me know as he got closer to my home. The car arrived not damaged and On-Time!
Contracted through a broker to ship my car who then contracted with these idiots. Extremely unprofessional. Contract with the broker stated my car would be shipped back with personal belongings in the trunk. Driver came to pick up my car, did the inspection, stated belongings wouldn’t be a problem and loaded up and left.
Then I received a call from their dispatcher who then tried to extort more money from me saying that they were unaware that my car was being shipped with belongings even though the contract they received from the broker and agreed to stated there would. I said fine, leave the car. They then tried to extort more money from me for a “drop fee”.
In short avoid these people at all costs, and beware of who your broker contracts with.
We had West Coast Transport haul our vehicle from Portland OR to Columbia MD. Pickup and delivery were on time despite the crazy winter weather which shut down most of the nation's highways in the north east part of the country, Alex, the driver, was professional and courteous and kept us updated daily of his progress through the storm. Overall, excellent service by West coast Transport!! So much so, we are going for a repeat service from West Coast.
West Coast Auto Transport shipped my car safely from Washington state to Virginia within 10 days. You don't hear much after the car is picked up but they contact you once it is getting closer. Dan, the driver, was wonderful in making sure I got my car the day expected. The delivery/unloading process took all but 15 mins and they are on their way. Thank you Dan and West Coast for reuniting me with my car!
We shipped a car from Oregon to Massachusetts using Montway as our broker. West Coast moved the car promptly with no issues. They picked it up early and it arrived in 12 days. Christopher in Oregon was nice and Alex was kind to my mother who received the vehicle. They agreed to meet in a grocery store parking lot because the 18 wheeler could not make it down a residential street. I felt compelled to leave a reasonable review of a service completed as expected to weigh out some of the ridiculously negative ones.
