A nice little shop selling all the basics to tie you over until you can a bigger shop in Hawes or Leyburn. You can reserve your newspaper too, if you want to. Lovely staff.
We stayed in West Burton in early January, so the tea room wasn't open, understandably.
The two ladies who run the shop and the tea room are very friendly. Good food - selection of cakes available plus soup and toasted tea cakes. The tea room can sit one table of four and one table of two. It is a little cramped as there is shop merchandise and plants on sale in the tea room too but other than that it is a lovely place.
Oh my word where to begin, apart from the stunning location which is somewhere to relax for a while. The tea room is excellent, the food is amazing and the portion sizes are fantastic. We actually went back a second day which is unusual for us. So if you are looking for somewhere lovely, and bite to eat this place is highly recommend.
Lovely tea room and shop with fantastic staff who are very friendly. I had a lovely slice of coffee cake and it was amazing. Very good prices and well stocked shop too. We bought a fresh loaf of multi grain bread to take away and it was so fresh and tasty. We will be visiting again very soon.
The new owners Julie and Marie have transformed this village shop and tearoom. Fresh vegetables and fruit and a well stocked shop. Teashop is also excellent, we have sampled the latte and home made cakes....delicious.
Great shop and cafe, lovely coffee, cakes and pastries. Always lovely staff that will always have a chat abd very helpful and accommodating.
New owners this summer (2020) so the previous reviews can be ignored. Lovely little shop with fresh fruit and veg amongst a lot of other groceries. Little cafe adjoining the shop with good home baked cakes!
Fantastic tea shop with really friendly service and fabulous cake options. The clotted cream, mincemeat and sloe gin tart was to die for... and goes well with the tea shop's rum 'n raisin ice cream.
