Ordered rib tips, fried shrimp, catfish nuggets, greens, fried okra, sweet potato cheesecake and apple pie cheesecake. Everything was tasty, hot and freshly prepared. Only thing was greens were too salty for my taste but hubby ate them. ????

The owner is so polite and nice, the cashier was so sweet, this was my first time here, and i was skeptical because of other reviews. But it was all false. To the person who said you dont smell bbq smoke in the restaurant is a complete lie. This man gets up at 4am and starts smoking his meats Fresh EVERYDAY!! He ends up sold out because of how good his meats is and the fact he takes his time ???? I had the Fried Chicken Wings and Rib Tips and MY GLORY TO GOD WAS IT GOOD???????????? I will definitely BE BACK. Please dont let these negative reviews stop you from going here. Rib tips had me fiendin' for more..had my face all qued out. Oh Bessie, ???? you messy!

This place was way better than FireWater...and no I'm not speaking of alcohol..I don't sip the devil's Kool aid ????..I'm talking about that other BBQ place which is, thus far, irrelevant ????

Meat was falling straight off the bone. ???? Next time I'm craving some steer, ???? I will definitely steer ???? in the direction of West 52 BBQ. ????

I thought I had ribs before… I was confident that I have eaten ribs. Everything I’ve ever known about ribs was a lie. I just had a spiritual experience inside of an unsuspecting restaurant. I saw someone else say that these ribs were the best ribs they ever had in their life and I was like “yeah, ok, loser. You probably haven’t been to Texas blah blah blah. There’s no way that the best ribs in his life came from a restaurant in a strip mall in shorewood. How wrong I was… you know that one part of the rib that is kind of tough? The stringy portion at the top which is usually overdone and nothing special? It doesn’t exist in these ribs. The entire this was seasoned to perfection. The only thing that made this experience even better as the service from the young lady in front and the owner Tony. As a chef of 13 years, I can confidently say that I have not had food that tasted like the person poured their heart and soul into every dish. Made with love is over used but in this case it is not. He is a Marine vet pumping out some of the best ribs, brisket, chicken and even BURGERS you will ever have the pleasure of coming across. Tony will let you sample whatever your heart desires and if you’re not walking out with a plate afterwards you must be broke. Tony even ended our meal letting us sample his cheesecake which was also just phenomenal. Tony your work is appreciated and you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

Picked up lunch today, I've been wanting patiently for this place to open since I loved the food in the previous location. I ordered the half slab and wanted to try something new so I also ordered the nuggets and I was absolutely amazed. The ribs were AMAZING as usual and the nuggets were crispy, juicy and flavorful. Loved everything including the fries and sauce.

Decided to try this place out after looking for some chicken wings online and since it also had barbeque we decided to try it. The wife and I ordered 2 fried chicken wings dinners along with some pulled pork and a half slab of ribs. They had a big menu up and the 2 girls taking our order were very sweet! The wings are cooked to order so we just sat inside watching more and more people come in.Troy the owner is a veteran and gives a 2 dollar discount to active and veteran service members which I used .After getting our order to take home Trot the owner took the time to Thank us for coming and he hoped we enjoyed the food! How cool is that? The chicken wings came with sauce and fries and let me tell you they were awesome!! Even better then what make! Lol the ribs and pulled pork were very flavorful and on point! You can tell Trot takes great pride in his meats and wants you to enjoy it all! There are tables inside if you want to eat in and the prices are in line with other barbeque type places.We will continue to come to 52 BBQ since the food it great and we love to support local small business owners!
