Best KPortal Reviews

Staff was incredibly nice and very punctual! The food was amazing! I will absolutely be returning. This is going to be one of my regular spots! Love the nostalgia and the homey feeling. The food is also reasonably priced and decent portions.
Visit this warm and cozy place and be welcomed as a member of the family! Cat was our fun, energetic server who quickly got us everything we needed and kept up the lively banter with us and Phil, one of the 2nd generation co-owners. The burgers were AMAZING and you must try the onion rings and the spinach balls with a side of cheese! I will return whenever I'm in the area. Thank you Cat and Phil for making our Friday dinner delicious and memorable!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This was my 2nd time getting a burger a werts and will offically be my last. After my horrible burger the first time i was assured it must have been bad luck and told to give them another shot. They failed miserably. The claims of this being even remotely close to the best burger in the valley has me wondering if they paid for fake reviews. The burger patty was large but it was the most bland and unseasoned burger I have ever eaten. The bread was poor quality, flat, and overtaken by patty they attempted to put on it. I ordered the werts burger, which i was told was their most popular and was supposed to be a mushroom and onion stuffed burger. That patty was poorly formed and sealed when it was made and clearly seperated when it got cooked and shrank. There was about 2 slices of mushrooms and a sliver of onion in the whole patty. Terrible terrible burger that can easily be outshined by ANY diner around.
Wert's Cafe in Allentown, PA, has truly mastered the art of crafting a sublime cheeseburger experience. This mouthwatering cheeseburger, expertly stuffed with sautéed onions and mushrooms, was cooked to a perfect medium. Each bite was a blast of flavor, with the juiciness of the burger perfectly complemented by the unique “stuffed” combination of onions and mushrooms. The balance in textures and the burst of umami make this a serious contender for best burger in the Lehigh Valley!
What takes this awesome burger to the next level is the side of house-made “onion rings”. This is in quotations because if you’re expecting a traditional onion ring, it won’t be coming. This was a massive pile of delicious fried frizzled onions like the brand French’s makes, but so much better. The attention to detail in both the burger and the accompanying onion rings showcases Wert's commitment to quality ingredients and making things themselves in house, which is a huge win for me. Not sure what the rest of the menu offers, but I’m all about these burgers.
The ambiance of Wert's Cafe adds to the overall experience, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that clearly comes from being a privately owned small business run by family. Whether you're a local or just passing through Allentown, PA, Wert's is a culinary gem that deserves a spot on every Burger Lovers must-visit list.
The burgers are ofcourse fantastic...lots of choices should fit any burger lovers tastes..the traditional menu echoes back to the days of old allentown with creamed cabbage and rhubarb crumble...prices are good and service is also good. The demographic for this place skews older because of the aforementioned menu items and just the sheer length of time this place has been in business...highly recommend ????
The chocolate cake with white frosting was good. The French onion soup was okay, I didn’t like the cheese though. The burger meat was juicy. The velveeta cheese isn’t my favorite. The bun was soft. The burger was okay, not my cup of tea though. The onion fries were not good, I couldn’t even taste onion. The inside is very homey and rustic. The waitress was fantastic.
Very good people, nice place, good food.
Stop by here for lunch occasionally when it's not too busy as parking my work truck is challenging.
Most of the time though it's busy during lunch. This is one of the most friendly, welcoming establishment in the area.
Family owned and ran.
Seafood bisque is definitely one of the best I've had. Lots of seafood packed in it.
Fish and chips were great, fresh cut fries and fish battered and fried perfectly, not greasy either.
Awesome burgers, cooked to liking and juicy.
Definitely worth a try if you're in the neighborhood.
