Popped by for a quick bite, went thru the drive thru. The gal on the speaker oozed disdain for her job. The lack of enthusiasm was something out of a cliche movie. As we sat there and waited to get the window, we see a cook rummage through his truck and retrieve a dirty crumpled apron from behind his seat and put it on. Very unappetizing to see what the person making food is possibly wiping their hands on. Health code violation. The kicker was my son’s apple cup. It had a quarter of a butchered apple in a mostly empty cup. There’s zero value anymore.
Ordered crescent with bacon got sausage. No ketchup in pump, counter where condiments are was dirty. Doesn’t seem to have been cleaned the night before. Staff was very nice but not organized. South door was locked around 8:45 had to enter on the side with the drive through.
The cashier was very nice. She greeted us with a smile and was very polite. There was hardly any wait time to get our food but the only thing that was fresh was the burger. The fries were a bit warm and the nuggets were as well. I would go back again though just to give the place another try.
I've had nothing but great service each time I come here, except for yesterday. The manager that was on duty around 1:15pm can learn a lot from his staff.
For some context, the Wendy's app has been a bit glitchy the last couple of weeks. Nevertheless, there are some great deals on there from time to time. When I got to the window there was an employee that genuinely did not know how to fix my missing digital coupon yet was kind enough to go get his manager.
The manager approached and told me "we don't do the apps, we have nothing to do with the apps.."
I use the app each time which is the only reason why I come to Wendy's. I requested that the manager ask the other employees if one of them may know more about the app and he looked at me, shook his head side to side and said "you already spoke to someone."
Of course I'm upset and I tell him that I too am a manager, I don't understand everything which is why I lean on my employees, therefore please go get another one who may know more... He just kept standing there shaking his head for another 2 minutes.
Then eventually he shuts the window in my face. The original employee came over and asked "did he just shut that window in your face??" I said yes, but it's all good. Another employee comes over and was absolutely great. I told her that I'm not sure what her aspirations are but that this is how you manage and that she is going to make a great leader.
I told both employees that the manager made be the shift leader but isn't a true leader, that they are the true leaders because we can lead from all levels.
Don’t go here! I decided to give them another try, cause surely they can’t mess up your order every time you go, YES , YES they can and do! They don’t know the difference between plain and dry. Dry means no condiments, Plain mean no veggies! When you ask for no mustard , it means you do not want it, maybe you are allergic to it ? And when you order nuggets , you probably want some dang sauce! And let’s talk about how short and rude the staff are. Yes, I want my receipt, cause the last time I came you messed up my order to! Don’t worry there will not be a next! And please don’t shove my food at me when I haven’t gotten my drinks put in the cup holder, just so you can shut the window! This is the worst Wendy’s stay alway if you want to get what you ordered and not have it shoved at you!
I ordered ahead via the app to pickup in the drive thru. The drive thru took forever. There are 2 lanes but 1 lane has broken cones blocking it. Waited in line for 15-20 minutes with 1 vehicle ahead.
I didn't check the bag before driving home. Found out that half of the order was missing. Submitted a claim by calling the number on the app but there is no order number or information available in the app and the service rep had no way to see my order. Never heard back from Wendys on it.
The remaining food I did receive was mediocre. Probably won't go back.
I enjoy the cleanliness and fireplace. I enjoy the fountain drink options. Most of all the service. Everyone is welcoming and kind. My youngest favorite place to be for a lunch date or dinner. My favorite place for potato wedges @ breakfast!! Kids meal, frostie, and a cookie. It was a peaceful and relaxing.
It's definitely no fast food. You'll be waiting in line for a good 15-20 minutes even if there's one person in line. Even after all that weight your food is going to be cold. I wouldn't recommend coming here at night anytime. I've had better luck in the morning but still a very unpleasant experience and a waste of money if you ask me.
