I just passed and just went in for a small chips. The server (a young lady, presumed a new(ish) starter), had made a mistake with the gents order in front. I then witnessed the 2 older lady servers completely berate her for her honest mistake, this happened in full view of myself and 1 other. I was gobsmacked. Whilst this was happening I was completely ignored. After 5 minutes of seeing this awful behaviour which I classed as unprofessional, and BULLYING; I walked out. After leaving I really felt I should have said something to assist this young woman. Hence my leaving this note.
To the young lady: I’m sorry I didn’t.
The 2 older ladies should be completely ashamed of themselves. Unprofessional, vile behaviour, in front of customers.
Although I know the establishment couldn’t care less if I return, I never will. And I hope that management can provide some basic training on how to be a decent human being to others. Very sad to be saying this but have to.
Went here today, no fish, no peas. Spend nearly 40 pound on the smallest potions that want even enough for 10 year old niece. The chips looked like they had turned black mouldy, the sausage was white and looked like it had been defrosted and served. The burger was raw and mushy and bright pink inside. There was 7 of us that did not eat a thing. The shop was dirty and the women looked unclean with one tooth at the front. This is absolutely the worst chippy I have ever attended and would absolutely avoid like the plague! ZERO stars but had to put 1 to review!
Chips are oily and are falling apart. Battered sausage seems like it's just been reheated from previous day
When we first visited this establishment, the fish was cooked in a light, crisp batter and the chips were amazing. However, on the last two occasions, whilst the chips have been perfect, the fish has been dry and overcooked so we won't be buying the fish again.
Been to this chip shop twice now. The food is good BUT on both occasions the order they cooked was wrong when compared to what they were asked for. Not just a bit wrong but majorly so. Second time a fish and Battered sausage missing which I had to drive back to get. Made to feel awkward when phoned and nothing offered to compensate in any way
Chip portions are small.
Their communication is awful.
What kind of chip shop charges as much as them and doesn’t take a card? Would recommend you check the order before you leave with bag that you have to pay for which is full of the wrong order. Personally won’t go again
Good portions and reasonably priced.
The piece of fish was huge and the batter was lovely and crispy.
Couldn't finish the chips so will get a normal portion next time.
Didn't have to wait too long either and before I knew it, was falling asleep on the sofa
Delicious fish and chips definitely recommend.
