If you’re coming in from a flight and need a quick meal before you call it a night, this setting will cover what you need. The atmosphere has a strong hotel feel instead of a restaurant setting and everything was okay. We didn’t have any glaring issues or complaints but were left feeling we thought we were going out on a date and instead had a meal with a bunch of guest. The humus was really good while the Ruben was a tad greasy. The teriyaki chicken bowl lacked chicken and moisture, but was an enormous serving of rice. The staff was very nice and gave us a beer on the house for the tap having issues.
This place is great for room service or eating in the restaurant. Friendly staff, friendly guests, and multiple comfortable places to sit and chill. I stay at the adjacent hotel 3+ times a year because of the food options, bar and location.
A lot more than you would expect from a hotel restaurant. Good food, friendly service, and not overpriced.
Honestly I'm sure locals love it, but im from the south and it's not my favorite. Lobster was great which is important, but the sides had no seasoning.
Love this bar after work and Laura is a very professional and friendly bartender.
Food was quality as were the drinks. The bartender was very friendly and you could tell she took the time to get to know her customers. The steak tips were just right with a bit of crispy on the outside but still juice on the outside. The chocolate cake was rich, but didn't feel excessive.
Service was good, got our order wrong but everything was nice. Fish and chips was especially good, Caesar salad so so.
It’s a real restaurant, but also provides the evening reception service for the hotel. The evening reception is a standard part of Embassy Suites, but this place seems to think that it isn’t. Needless to say, the evening reception is far below the standard set by Embassy suites. They provide snacks, yes—the snacks come in small trays that you must ask for and you almost always must wait for them to go into the back to prepare a new plate of chips or fresh, likely unwashed, vegetables. And the drinks. You get a few free drink slips from the hotel. These slips ONLY work on drinks in a small given list from the restaurant and non-alcoholic drinks. During most days we stayed when friendly staff were working, kids could get (obviously non-alcoholic) drinks without using a card or paying. However, when the employee discussed below was asked, she rudely told the customer to pay for the drink.
Here’s another thing! One of the employees (running the bar on the particular day in question) was quite rude but was also badmouthing everybody who came for the evening reception to a customer. Talking about “Paying customers… (unintelligible)… but non-paying customers… (something derogatory, couldn’t make out the exact wording)” and such. This employee was extremely rude and would go out of their way to deprioritize evening reception customers.
So, if you’re a restaurant providing a standard reception service for a hotel, it should be expected that (a) you meet the standards for the reception and (b) your employees don’t badmouth hotel guests that are there for the reception. 2 things that this restaurant utterly FAILED to do. This isn’t just one experience; this restaurant is notably very greedy with the evening receptions and as a result fails to meet any expectations set by other locations.
Now, I upped this rating a few stars (from the 1 star that the employee described above made us want to rate this) because (1) it’s an actual restaurant, not just for evening receptions and (2) some employees are actually very nice. Those who were delivering the snacks and taking plates back were very nice and actually attentive. So thanks to those staff members.
Note: customers in this case refers to customers of the Embassy Suites, not to those in the restaurant.
