It's a convenience store. Not many of their options were available, but there was a hot food area to order custom items as well as the pre-prepared grab and go hot items.
It was a little dirty, the floor in some spots was sticky. If I had more time I would have gone to the Brown Bag down the street.
Pricing was good for convenience stores so close to the hotels there.
Broken self checkout machines and no bathroom access. On several recent visits, there haven’t been enough people working here to efficiently serve the volume of customers. The store seemed well-stocked though.
I was going around trying to find pizza to have for dinner until I found this place. I wouldn’t say that this place is exactly clean and organized. The staff was okay. I wasn’t too happy with people standing outside of the door. As I read through the reviews, I guess I need to be more careful.
Enough security to accost you with the fact that they don’t have bathrooms (they’ve reappropriated their bathrooms with storage and you can tell by the handles of the doors in the back hall), but not enough security to stop people from accosting you for money. Truly incredible balance.
Just not a great spot. Loud and obnoxious people there, every time. May not be the business fault. I didn’t feel particularly unsafe, but I can see how some people may feel that way.
This last time I did not find a single item I was looking for. There was no one available to help me look. So I walked out and looked elsewhere.
There is a common scam that happens inside convenience stores such as 7-Elevens, Wawas like this one in Thomas Circle and 24/7 pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens that the general public is not quiet aware. Open your eyes! Staff is a key part of the conspiracy. A person outside who you take for a panhandler is often part of the criminal organization. An apparently distressed customer stuck at the cashier because he or she can’t pay for merchandise is the one I was fooled by at a CVS once, only to see the same situation happing to me 3 months later at a different CVS, but the same young lady whose “boyfriend left the store after a fight and took her wallet with him”. That’s when I started to connect the dots. Here in Thomas Circle, the security lady, at least one of the cashiers and a frequent panhandler have just finished splitting the loot of the night right behind me outside the store. Keep your eyes open, don’t trust anyone and ALWAYS ask for your receipt. Always! They overcharge, steal your change and use many other petty schemes to take your money. If you had too much to drink or used recreational drugs, these stores are to be avoided like the plague. Worst offenders in the NW DC area are 7-Eleven in Mount Pleasant St, the infamous 7-Eleven at 504 K St and the also infamous WaWa in Thomas Circle.
great location, delicious (affordable) custom sandwiches, and outstanding customer service. always greeted nicely when you enter and everyone is very polite. look at this Italian sandwich for $8 - you can't find a better deal anywhere!
For convenient store food, the bagel I ordered was not bad. Conveniently located near so many hotels around Thomas Circle and 14th St.
