I visited Brighton with my wife and a dear friend. Both my friend and I are Sussex University post-graduate from the eighties.
I have fond memories of Brighton and yesterday we decided to visit.
We had a lunch at the Waterfront Grill at he Brighton Marina. Believe me I was blown away with the quality of the food. Fish is my favourite food and this was really heaven for me.
The starter was wonderful scallops, prawn and mussels followed by a better great main course.
The main course a mixture of tiger prawn, code fish, sardines with very nice vegetables. All in a heavenly sauce. The chef also gave some freshly made harissa (not hot).
The pudding was a very nice a light cake that puts definitely a big smile on your face. It was out of this world.
Soft drinks and coffees were also provided.
The other side is the first class service provided by the staff. Really first class. The chef very experienced and knew his stuff he came few times asking if we were happy.
This really remind of the USA were I always say to my friends that the service there is head and shoulders above Europe but this place is may be the exception.
If you need a place to take your family or friend for a good and good food this is the place.
Don't tell everyone this is just between us ????????
Great food and service. We had sea food salad and fish soup and both were delicious. £9 for a pint it’s a bit expansive even with that view and food. Still recommend and worth visiting. Lovely view
A lot of variety of fish served by friendly waiters. The seabream was very tasty, the sole was good but not amazing, I didn't like that they put in both a yellow sauce but they didn't mention it in the menu and I was expecting to be just grilled with no sauce
We recently celebrated my birthday at this place .. we had a lovely experience, the food is really nice , fresh ingredients, really delicious ????,.. the staff are nice and friendly as well , the view is lovely and relaxing ????

Draft beer was great, I ordered Penne al Salmon, was delicious but it had some hard parts of vegetables.
The best lobster we have ever had. Great food & excellent service. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
Fantastic location and amazing food at very good prices. The starters were huge! So friendly and very dog friendly, unlike Wetherspoons!!!
Overall disappointed. Prawn cocktail came out warm from where the prawns had been defrosted. Both Steaks came out with blood oozing across the whole plate meaning the chips were soggy. Seems like steak had not been rested which prevents this. In fairness after sending the steaks back the chef did pop out to check if they were okay. Noticed the people next to us also sent food back. But the Waiting staff were lovely and attentive. The atmosphere and decor in the restaurant was nice. Just food quality let it down unfortunately.
