After months of being fobbed off and a dentist telling me my tooth was very deep and in other words not fancying removing it ..being ignored and hung up on ..ive finally got it sorted by ringing a private dentist in Manchester..it cost me nearly 300 quid but was seen to within two hours of making the call..
Sooooooo grateful. That shower of awkward disinterested disingenuous cretins should be ashamed
Spoke to Wendy on 6/12/23 she was very friendly , Clear and helpful Getting me the appointment I needed.
I had an infection sitting in and under an upper molar. Pain like I've never experienced before. Called 8am in the morning, lovely lady on the phone, booked me in for just after lunch. Reception staff very friendly and the dentist and her nurse were fantastic. Anesthetic, Xray and extraction with great aftercare in under 20 minutes. If you have an emergency over the weekend, don't suffer till Monday, give them a call!
Getting through to the emergensy dentist is pure paranoia. I called with an acute toothache at around 11am and after 40 minutes of waiting on the helpline I finally got through. The helpline lady, apart from asking about my ethnic group (I don't know what this has to do with the toothache), said that everything was booked and I had to call the next day from 8am and advised to take PARACETAMOL AND IBUPROM (this is sick). When I said I couldn't sleep because of the tooth for two days they said they couldn't do anything about it. The next day I called from 8 o'clock and I didn't get through until 9 o'clock and the same thing happened. In addition, they said that if my face and eye were swollen so that I could not see, I should go to hospital. THIS HEALTH SERVICE IS A JOKE.
I was referred to this clinic on 01/07/20 after loosing part of a tooth and filling and suffering constant severe pain.
My referral was received by Bath street the same day but they left me hanging until 09/07/20 before rejecting my referral without explanation or any communication, I only realised that it had been rejected when I tracked the referral online.
My dentist informed me after I rang them that Bath street are not accepting referrals, so if you are not accepting referrals why not tell me 8 days ago and at least let me work on finding another solution.
I realise that things are difficult at the moment and services are reduced but how hard is it to send a text or email it takes seconds.
I am a key worker and have worked every day of the pandemic, the NHS as a whole are amazing but this clinic has let me down and has shown absolutely no care, there has been no communication at all via any channel.
I read the reviews of this clinic when I was referred which are poor and feared there may be trouble ahead.
I rang up after suffering from severe pain in one of my teeth and being unable to even close my mouth for a couple of days, my last resort after being unable to get an appointment at my own dentist. I was told by the lady on the phone that my case wasn’t ‘severe’ enough to be seen and that I should try and get an appointment with my own dentist (after I had informed her I couldn’t) - to then be told I should try pain relief; which again I told her I already had been doing. I was also told if I suspect an infection then I can go in, absolutely ridiculous..that’s the reason I wanted the appointment due to pain from an infection. This left me with no option but to call my own dentist and practically beg for an appointment as the pain was unbearable. Low and behold I ended up having my tooth extracted straight away due to an infection in said tooth. I wouldn’t even waste your time here.
I needed a tooth taking out I had been trying to cope with or get the guts to pull it myself but couldn’t, hardly ate I’m two days so I rang on a Saturday morn at 8 I was on hold for hour and forty five mins I just left it on the side, the lady was really nice and helpful and aranged for me to get the procedure at a dentist in my town centre of Warrington within a few hours which was good because I was in work so I nipped out of work had it done walked back for the last two hours of my shift , this is an emergency service and so I appreciated the service knowing how busy it was and I’ve no dentist since getting kicked out covid time.. the dentist was lovely to.
Bad service. They should close emergency dentist services and find alternatives.
