Best KPortal Reviews
Decided to try this place because our regular Chinese/Szechuan spot was closed. We tried their Szechuan dishes and it was ok. A couple of the Szechuan dishes came in bowls which was not typical because they should normally come in a metal heating pot. The house fried house was decent. The braise pork with noodles was flavorful but just missing that taste where you just want to keep eating it. The beef hot pot was flavorful but missing some more veggies. The dry beef hot pot was very tasty the best dish we’ve had tonight. Their Szechuan dishes need some work.
A old style Chinese restaurant great food met a friend who loves crab Rangoon and considers himself a expert he said they were very good ! We also had ribs ,beef teriyaki , pork rice, hot sour soup, & drinks everything was great they have plenty of parking and a full bar great staff great experience
I brought my wife, mom and aunt last night and we had the best time sitting at the sushi bar. You need to understand, my mom and aunt are very difficult to please when going out to eat. They absolutely LOVED it!!! The drinks were refreshing, the sushi was amazing and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back. 5 stars, just a memorable dinner experience.
Thank you!!!
Since the change in ownership has taken place, this place has gone from 0 to 10. Incredible owners, Ken and Joanne!! Always a fun crowd, great food, great drinks. By far the best Chinese food option in the city and beyond. This place is an absolute 10 out of 10 every time!!! DON'T MISS OUT!!!
We ordered 5 things. Our pupu platter (they call it something else) came out. We had plates, no utensils, no salt and pepper. We asked for these and sauces. Our waitress brought these. The salt and pepper shaker had about 1/2 teaspoon in then and were old and dirty looking. Then about 10 minutes later Our rice came out we had to ask for clean plates after the pupu platter. About 20 minutes later and still none of our meals we asked for the check for what we did receive. They did apologize and claim the kitchen was backed up. We tried this place because it received best Asian food per a contest in the Worcester Telegram. We will never go here again. If this was voted best what is the worst.
The food here is often good, but I can't recommend ordering for delivery. My family was ordering 1-2 times a month but at least half the time items were missing and the customer service was atrocious. Sitting home without the food I paid for is bad enough, but being yelled at on the telephone by the Wan Wang staff is not what I need!. I understand people make mistakes, but when I just ordered >100$ of food I expect help getting it fixed.! I'll be ordering from Nancy Chang, Yong Shing, Rice Violet, or plenty of other places from now on.
Sushi is great! All the meals are fantastic and food quality is great. Small place but very good vibe!
The past two times I have been here I have been absolutely disgusted. A couple weeks ago somebody in my party ordered a drink and once they got to the end of it there was an empty fortune cookie wrapper. The only way this could have happened is if a guest were to put their trash into their cup, then the cup was reused for another customer’s drink before being cleaned. Absolutely disgusting, however they did take the drink off of our final bill. But it gets worse. Decided to give it another chance and went tonight and ordered a dirty Shirley with tequila. Was brought a drink with no ice and no sprite/gingerale, just straight warm tequila with a splash of grenadine. I took one sip and gave it back to the waitress and told her it was way too strong for me and not what I ordered/expected and would just like a water instead. She didn’t have any problem with this… until she brought the bill over. She said her boss told her that I had to pay for my drink, and if I had any issues with that I could go and talk to him. I went over and explained the situation to him. (Seriously, how many people do you know that return a drink for being too strong?? This thing was beyond nasty). He said “any customer knows that when they ask for a specialty drink they have to pay for it.” Since when is a Shirley temple a “speciality drink???” Also, why would I pay for a $12 drink that I didn’t even ingest and wasn’t even close to what I ordered? I again explained the situation to him and after receiving a lot of attitude he agreed to take the drink off of my bill. If you can not make such rudimentary drinks then you should not be running a bar. If you can not treat your customers with respect then you should not be running a business period. Sleazy nasty place.
