We were visiting my brother and stayed in an Airbnb near this café. It's family operated and the food is cooked to order and everyone was friendly. It's cash only and the prices include tax. We were there for breakfast on Saturday and there were several other people but we were able to put a couple of tables together for our group of 7. I ordered eggs, sausage and potatoes and they were tasty and cooked just as I asked. My sister had a pancake and it was fluffy, had melted butter and covered the plate. I would definitely eat here again.
Way off the beaten path, but so worth the drive. My fresh breaded chicken strips and fresh-cut homemade chips were excellent, my husband's fresh pressed double cheese burger and fresh-cut fries were also delish. So good we forgot to take a pic. I did add one of my leftovers.The owners were delightful and friendly. Don't forget to mark your town on the map! Take the time and dine at this great little place!
By shear chance I stopped by this wonderful little place in the middle of nowhere on the end of a 20 day golfing trip. Had the most amazing ham and bean lunch special. The food and the people are fantastic. The place felt more like a cozy family kitchen for a big family rather than a restaurant. One heart warming experience of my trip. God bless America for so many great places and communities.
Quality food, more than fair pricing, staff is 110%. Really cool place in the middle of no where. Cash only tho!

Great food, at a good price. It has a cute vibe, a lot like sitting in your Grandma's kitchen while she cooks you some breakfast. The mis-match mugs and plates are very charming and make you feel at home. So does the sweet pup outside, hoping you'll play a round of fetch. This feels like a place you could go every day.
First time I have been there. Great cheeseburger! The fries were awesome!!
The food there is very good, and the friendliness of the people make it even better! My wife and I came from Ohio to visit friends in the area and this little diner made our trip even more memorable. A real gem in the beautiful farmland of Illinois. We’ll be back. ????
