Stunning service all around!!! My dad's name is Wally and he grounded the family for the Griswold style vacations back in the early 90's and it feels amazing to be @ a beach with the same name gracing the beachfront with awesome foods, drinks and enjoyable items for the beach!!! We will truly miss you this fall and winter and the staff is so friendly we consider them family now!! Be back soon for more nachos and root beer floats!!!
This place used to be a great option, now it's just robbery. When you order chicken tenders and fries, you kind of expect some ketchup and sauces, right? I was asked if I wanted ranch or BBQ on the side, so I said yeah to ranch, and then I was asked if I wanted ketchup on the side for the fries. What I wasn't asked or told is that I was going to be charged $3.60 for two little ranches and 4 ketchup packets!! Are you serious?? We come multiple times a year to Silver Beach and I'll never go back to Wally and Gertz. What a scam you're running.
Back when we went, I remember it was the first day they opened and we were the first customers of the season! Delicious food options! Yummy treats! And they sell beach toys, sun screen, and more. Great to have Wally & Gertz at Silver beach.
the man told me a different total when he charged my card. i only ordered fries and mozzarella sticks yet i was also charged $6 for doritos that i never ordered or got. he also never told me that marinara sauce or ketchup was an extra charge. didn’t look at the receipt til i got home. ????????
I've been ordering the Chicago style hot for years there, great every time. I really like this place, I look forward to stopping by when we make our annual trip
We visit as often as we can during their short "open" time in the summer. Price of ice cream can be annoying but the actual food prices like cheese fries are well worth the money! So delicious.
Two stars ONlY because it is a beach stand and they seem to have a good handle on food safety. Fries were WAY over slated, the ultimate nachos only redeeming factor was fresh chopped tomatoes, topped with Hormel quality chilli with other low quality ingredients. The burger was actually hard to swallow it was so dry. They could do so much better with a little effort at better ingredients/quality. Pack food to this beach, you will be happier.
My 6 yr old got sand flung in her eye while at the beach. We tried everything to ease her pain but she was sobbing. I decided to go ask this place for a small glass of water to flush her eye. The owner or manager made them charge 50 cents for this. I thought that was ridiculous!! He was not friendly either. I refuse to give them future business.
