Best KPortal Reviews

A nice place to gather for Happy Hour. The historic ambience of the old building in the 1920s historic district is the best feature.
Came here last night for a meeting. Our speaker can connect to a screen for a slideshow. Food options included Chicken wraps and salad.
A good location for smaller special events and meetings. There is a TV screen for presentations.
Have been here also to just socialize with friends. I have had the chicken flatbread. It was very good.
Have been here for breakfast on several occasions. That food is good too.
Service is friendly and efficient. There's a very relaxed atmosphere.
They have music here and other special events on weekends at times.
Recommend parking on N Market Street for now as Park Ave is under construction.
We came for a drink at the bar last night and enjoyed a great singer sax duo. The Sangria was delicious and my husband had an IPA he really liked, from a can but good. They just got their full liquor license so if you like something harder they have that too. There is often something fun happening at Wales Pointe and we appreciate having a place to go in the evening in downtown Lake Wales. We have been here before and the staff is always friendly. The fried okra is the best I have ever had! Going back for dinner soon and will update.
The best homemade wings and chicken quesadilla!! Rhody made our dinner so much better and she was so attentive. Also, they have Happy Hour (M-F) 4-6pm and the appetizers are discounted along with the drinks during that time. Run over to this amazing spot!
We ate at Wales Pointe last weekend and while atmosphere was great, my daughter got violently ill a few hours later. We knew this was food related because she was fine the next morning once it was out of her system. Our waitress was friendly but mildly attentive- left us for long periods of time and we never got silverware, which I wandered around and found myself. Prices were high as well. Hoping this feedback can serve as constructive, would like to see local places thrive in our downtown area.
Not the warmest greeting or service we've ever had for lunch, but I got the impression this is more of a nightlife kinda place. Looks like a full service bar. We did end up speaking with the owner who, turns out, was the one multi-tasking on the cell phone while waiting on us (she did apologize & explain). Seems like this is more of a "special event", football season or a come out & enjoy the entertainment kinda place (& there's nothing wrong with that)! I'll look forward to the newsletter and maybe try again but most likely not for, craving the food.
A great local place that is even open on a Sunday. We both had the grouper sandwich, but I chose mine without the bun. There are the standard sides and veggies of the day.( have to balance out the diet) There is a nice outside seating area in front allowing to enjoy the outside. Service was great. We will return again soon so I can try the "creamy style" shrimp and grits! Yumms
We went during the soft opening while they were offering breakfast/brunch/lunch, although we learned that they have plans for a dinner menu in the future. The table layout may need to be reworked, but we enjoyed the music and atmosphere.
Staff were pleasant, proactive, and open to suggestions. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits at around 10am and it was a good value at $10.99. Portion was generous and very tasty. At first I thought the sauce was too thin, but later came to appreciate that it mixed so well with the grits because I didn’t want to leave any of it behind!
My party also had an omelette $8.99, which was again a generous portion and very tasty. Two important notes: 1) cheese was an up-charge (these are strange times) and 2) it came with a side item, despite the menu not explicitly stating so, making it a better value. This could apply to other items as well because I’m sure that all of the kinks haven’t been worked out of the menu yet.
There seemed to be other cafes around if you are looking for just a cheap meal, but if you are looking for a step up from that in terms of food selection, quality, and atmosphere… give this place a try. The eggs benedict and biscuits and gravy will be on my list for next time, as they looked to be delicious as well. And I will say, there was something fantastic to me about a Cajun inspired brunch.
We went in for dinner, but after reviewing the menu..we knew it could be pricey. We ordered 2 drinks and the crab dip. The crab dip looked microwaved, but ended up cold in the middle and warm on the edges. Definitely not good to eat with a little bit of chips on the side.
The service was extremely slow with barely any customers ???? and the vibe wasn't great. The restaurant has potential to be great because of location and hopefully better food. As for me, this place is a no go for me.
