It's a waffle house, took a while to get seated. Employee came in with her family took the only table for her family (after we got there) Clocked in. And fed her family.. while we waited.
Got exactly what we wanted and expected, just not how we ordered. The eggs weren't cooked to our order, which was over hard. The cook seemed offended when we asked for the eggs to be cooked a little more. He didn't even have to start over...just cook what we had a little longer. They were served very runny. They still weren't over hard but we ate them anyway. At least they were hot. Wasn't the server's fault. She was amazing. The waitress had a great personality and was full of smiles and checked on us frequently.
We walked in around 9:00 am today and received the warmest welcome. They were busy but we were immediately greeted and served. Rebecca, the manager was cooking, helping to serve and greeting customers. Josh made the most amazing breakfast for us. It was such a family atmosphere! Our server continually made sure we hot hot drinks and were satisfied with our service. Great way to start 2024!
Been coming here since i was in diapers. This last visit however they served slighty cooked hashbrowns not fulley cooked chicken. On toast not a bun with no toppings. Ordered a melt and cheese was just a slice not even melted into the meat. Did not cook toppings with hash browns added them cold. Gravey was cold. Will not return. We ended up walking out in disgust. Im noy letting you serve me raw food and fixing it again.
This was a very sad experience. The cook was the best part of the service we received. She was amazing. However when I told the waitress twice that I was not receiving the waffles I ordered. And never did a check on us or offered a refill on coffee. Then the rude manager ask why I made her waitress cry? While I could see them in the dish area laughing. The manager was horrible. I have to put the blame on her because she is the manager rightfully so. Correct? I finished my eggs , bacon and hash browns. And the waffle I didn't order sat there and Never received the blueberry compote I ordered. I don't eat the corn syrup that the brought. Of course I was treating myself to a waffle and never received after 2 wrong orders were served to me. For it is a waffle house. Again the cook on duty was impeccable in many ways. She brought food and talked kindly to us. She deserves 5 stars. However the manager brought the score down to one. She got rude with me and my guest.
Because she flat out lied to me and if I really did make the waitress cry for explaining the errors she and the manager are in the wrong business. The cook would be an amazing manager. I don't know any of these people, to be clear. And I have worked in many restaurants from coffee shops to the most expensive restaurants in the country. So I have a keen eye and I'm very fair. It takes a lot for me to complain. If I hear the cook is promoted I would go back next time I'm in Lexington. That would be the only way I personally would return. The waitress and manager need to take this report and learn from it. That's why I leave detailed and honest reviews. But the harsh attitude I experienced I can't see the server or Manager excepting this honest review. I didn't get or remember anyone's name but I was there 2 mornings ago. Blessings
Server lectured us extensively to not sit at booth needing wiped. Server fingers handling rim of glasses & all over silverware. Plates greasy, even the bottom. Slow & rude service. Hope we don't become ill due to the excessive handling of utensils. Gross & unpleasant experience.
The cook and the waitress on 3/18 were very rude to a homeless guy that was minding his own business. He was hungry and asked if they could give him some food. Omg. That poor guy. I gave him money to shut those workers up. He was so embarrassed that he didn't even eat there and I don't blame him. Their tip was treat everyone how they would like to be treated and stop spreading darkness in the world. I'm still pissed over 12 hours later. How dare they judge a guy because he's homeless. These 2 should honestly be fired or retrained because their ugliness inside is appalling.
Music so loud you could not hear the waitress had to yell out the order. Its not good for anyone wanting to have a conversation over coffee or breakfast. Waitresses screaming out orders to cooks over the loud music and up repeatedly go over the order with the cook
