Best KPortal Reviews
Been here a few times and each time was great. The place can get a bit busy and there are only a few folks behind the counter and serving but we’ve always gotten seated and served quickly! Highly recommend the beef (combo, brisket, or any kind of beef) pho - the broth is excellent. Also always happy with their banh mi and sesame balls. Try the banana coffee, the two flavors work well together surprisingly!
At Vui Vu, the heart of their pho lies in their delicious broth. While many establishments in town falter with their attempts at authentic pho broth, Vui Vu stands out with its rich, flavorful rendition that truly anchors the entire dining experience. Every spoonful reveals a depth of flavor that speaks to their dedication and expertise. The accompanying side ingredients, fresh and vibrant, serve as perfect complements, harmonizing with the broth to create a symphony of taste.
Their spring rolls are a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. Each roll boasts a satisfying crunch, hinting at the freshness of the ingredients within. But it's the peanut sauce, with its balanced flavors and creamy texture, that elevates the rolls from good to exceptional. It's the kind of dish that lingers in your memory, urging you to return for just one more bite.
Beyond the culinary delights, Vui Vu also excels in customer experience. My order, delivered seamlessly by GrubHub, arrived punctually and in good condition. A special nod to their eco-friendly packaging, which not only underscores their commitment to sustainability but also ensures that the food reaches you without any unfortunate leaks or mishaps. In an age where attention to detail can set a restaurant apart, Vui Vu demonstrates excellence at every turn, making it a must-visit for pho enthusiasts and food lovers alike.
This place reinforces Little Tokyo as the most overrated food destination in Los Angeles for me. The overpriced rice plate was just barely edible. The chicken was dry and the tiny little shrimps were over sauced. Although viet coffee was ok, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
This review is based off a Uber Eats delivery. My order was messed up & two items I got didn’t get deliveries but overall the pho was phenomenal and the chicken egg rolls.
I ordered their Pho Rare Steak and beef brisket, along with fried chicken egg rolls, Bahn mi lemon grass chicken sandwich & sesame balls. The sandwich and sesame dessert didn’t come but don’t know whether it was restaurant or deliverers fault. Either way, I was really surprised at how delicious the pho was and it was probably too 3 I’ve ever tasted and the fried egg rolls were really good too.
I’d definitely order from here again and probably try the in dining experience because the meals were really delicious. I would of gave a 5 star if I got the rest of my order, but I highly recommend their pho.
So hard to find good Vietnamese food in DTLA. Super glad we tried this spot. A little hard to find, but definitely a new go to for us. Walking in there are all these plants that are clearly well taken care of, every thing we got was amazing, had the vermicelli, spring roll sampler, and beer pho. All were perfect. The service was fast and the cashier was really patient and helpful with our order.
Went here for the first time last night - I had no clue this even existed, I’ve never been on the second floor of little Akihabara. Their food was delicious, I really enjoyed my fried tofu bahn mi and my parter got the combo meat pho. The ingredients in my sandwich were so fresh and the baguette was definitely the best part of the sandwich. Many places butcher the bread with their Banh Mi but this bread was PERFECT. The sesame balls were addicting. I am looking forward to coming back, especially for their lunch specials. Thank you!
Terrible and incredibly slow service. Definitely do not recommend this place.
The cashier misplaced our order and we were brought a pork sausage bún with one spring roll on top rather than the spring rolls we ordered. I was dumbfounded and told a waitress and she changed our order and gave us a refund. We also didn’t get our bottled water until we were done eating and ready to leave (we even had to remind her).
Also, one of the waitresses didn’t know the difference between a soup spoon and a teaspoon. That was so unbelievable I was in shock.
Great banh mi, Pho but also iced coffee with banana and the passion fruit / ibiscus drink!
