Arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday. We requested outdoor seating, which we got. Once we ordered our Clam Chowder and Fish & Chips, we relaxed and enjoyed the wonderful view of St. Claire River from the patio. The Clam Chowder was thick and creamy and delicious. After a short time our lunch arrived with 3 pieces of deep fried cod served with lemon and tartar sauce, plus crisp fries and broccoli. Once we completed our lunch, we walked the beautiful boardwalk from one end to the other.
Good service and food but the view of the freighters on the river is the best!
Fabulous place to dine in. Right on the river, great view of Canada with a chance to see big boats floating by through the large windows. Dining experience was more of a romantic setting with low lighting chandeliers and unique oil lamps at each table, had a slightly longer than average wait for food but it was well with the wait. Staff was very friendly and prompt to attend customers. Bonuses live piano music being played and a bar with many selections including a variety of wines. Highly recommend this place if you want good food and relaxed atmosphere perhaps a family gathering or just a romantic outing with your person. Will absolutely be visiting again. Also there is a bowling alley and a sports bar for added fun.
Nice clean place with a great atmosphere. Beautiful views of the river and the ships that travel it. You can get a decent view pretty much no matter where you sit. Staff is friendly and attentive. Quick service. Food is delicious and portions are generous. One of our favorite ship watching restaurants to visit!
It’s a great waterfront restaurant with a spectacular view of the St Clair River and Canada. Perfect for freighter watching. It’s been a local favorite for decades. Yes the decor is dated and is showing wear, but the food is good.
Great service great food. Best wine by the bottle price. We always get fish. The perch or salmon are great. Dinners come with rolls, soup or salad, a starch and a veggie. The river views are fantastic. Most nights live piano music in the bar. Lots of parking. Great place to take a walk on boardwalk afterwards. Lots of freighters this time of year.
It may have been the time for the early bird specials, but def. an older dining crowd & the food reflected that. My crab cakes were good, however. My buddy said is food was bland. And, yes, the rice & asparagus seemed to have no seasoning. Great view of the St. Clair River, however!
Great place to dine for special occasions! Food is pricey for quality if I’m being honest but I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and their stuffed portobello mushroom was amazing!
