I'm not really a big oyster fans, but my friends are with all decide that we wanted to stop by and check out the dock and then the asteroid that created that area. I think it was called the interstellar. I got the fish and ships pretty solid. I love the beer batter and I would definitely go here just for the environments. Good vibes!
So the front of house, 3 hosts, were incredibly inept and rude. Kept sitting parties that just walked up versuses the people who had arrived and were waiting to be seated. We were still sat before the 20 minute wait time. But after 3 walk ups? The service was fine, the crispy potatoes that were ordered did not come with the rest of the food or even 10 minutes later so I canceled the order. Kids loved their cheeseburger meals. The side of jalapeño cheddar hush puppies were excellent. The blue cheese and leek mussel starter was enjoyable. Blue cheese is an interesting accompaniment, but probably would have preferred ti leave that ingredient out. Hit the spot, but the front of house should always wait for parties to exit. The host plowed through our 4 person group as we were leaving and the lunch rush had ended.

Oliver did a wonderful job serving my family. I took my parents, who live in Pennsylvania, here to show them old town.
I am so thrilled we picked this spot. We got the chowder, shrimp and grits, and crab cake sandwich. That shrimp and grits was chefs kiss.
They even treated us to key lime pie for my 30th ☺️ what a wonderful way to leave my 20s
We had dinner here during g the Christmas holidays. It was a last minute decision but they were very accommodating. We ordered the Chesapeake Bay chowder, which was quite good; mixed selection of Oysters- signature green torpedo, James River, blue Point, also very good; hush puppies also very good; crab cake sand which, was good;Salmon Entree, which was good; the fried chicken breast sandwich which was ok. And the hamburger which was ok. All in all, the food was average to good. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and the location is awesome.
The shrimp po boy is always delicious. Tuna has shifted gears, used to be raw now seared but still good taste. Mussels were not great (but the wife loved them, she's Italian). Never a bad time at Vola's
Excellent customer service. Great view of the Potomac River. Delicious food, we had crab dip, shrimp tacos, lobster roll and salmon. All were delicious ???? fries with old Bay were yummy too.
Seafood was good. Blackened shrimp was very good. But the steak was underwhelming with flavor. View is nice. More of a bar atmosphere than high end restaurant.
Everything was amazing. Derrick was great. I just wish that the view for the high tables wasn’t obstructed :/. Brunch drinks ???? were good too but forgot to save the pic. We had the chorizo & egg and tacos, shrimp and grits, and egg scramble.
