VN Tofu is a hidden gem that deserves every bit of its five-star rating. This Vietnamese eatery not only offers a wide selection of delectable tofu dishes but also boasts an impressive array of Vietnamese snacks, food and banh mi sandwiches.
Upon entering VN Tofu, I was greeted by a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu was extensive, showcasing a variety of tofu-based dishes that cater to both vegetarians and meat lovers alike.
What sets VN Tofu apart is their selection of Vietnamese snacks. From crispy spring rolls to savory rice dishes, they have it all. Each snack was meticulously prepared, with attention to detail evident in every bite. There were also many other food selections wrapped up and ready to eat.
The highlight of my visit, however, was their banh mi sandwiches. These Vietnamese sandwiches were packed with flavor, featuring a combination of savory meats, fresh vegetables, and a spread of pâté or mayo. The bread was perfectly toasted, adding a delightful crunch to each bite.
The prices are reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of food you receive.
In addition to the fantastic food, the service at VN Tofu was impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, making helpful recommendations and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
VN Tofu exceeded my expectations in every way. With its delicious tofu dishes, wide selection of Vietnamese snacks, and mouthwatering banh mi sandwiches, it has become my go-to spot for fast and ready to eat Vietnamese cuisine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese snacks and desserts.
Vietnamese take out. Every time I visit Ga, I have to stop by this place. They make soy milk and tofu dessert($3 or $6), Vietnamese dessert Che. Prepackaged to go meal like summer rolls sweet rice, and steam buns. Oh they also have Bahn Mi. Customers are constantly in and out of this place. There are so many goodies and take long time to choose items I usually buy too much cause I don’t have the store like this in my neighborhood. They speak good English, so if you are not sure, just simply ask. VN tofu is located in the same shopping plaza where Hong Kong Market is. There are plenty of parking spots.
I purchased fish, bbq pork, and three meat Banh Mi. Price went up to $5 each but the size of sandwich got bigger so no complaints. Shrimp summer rolls are always delicious and fresh! I paid 2 for $3.50. Now they are closed Friday. Oh they also sell fresh soy milk sweet and unsweetened. Black cap is unsweetened.
Come here to grab something for our breakfast but end up buying a lot of food for lunch and dinner. Super clean and with reasonable price. Great amount of choices you can bring to your road trip to the great smoky mountain or blue ridge road.
The soft tofu was awesome! So smooth and lightly sweet if you don't mix it with the ginger syrup. The combination Spring roll is a must. Four is only around 4 bucks. The banana cake with coconut cream was a good choice for snack which was not too sweet.
It has been awhile since I came here and they have since remodeled this place to a modern and organized shop. The atmosphere has improved tremendously and I actually enjoyed shopping here now. Please keep it up.
I usually never leave bad reviews but today I was extremely disappointed by the customer service by one of the older Vietnamese ladies that work there. I have been a regular here for years, ever since I was a kid. I always love the food here. I usually don’t have an issue ordering at the Banh Mi station. Today, I ordered with an older woman wearing a black cap and an apron. I told her I wanted a Banh Mi chicken with no Pate, she interrupts me rudely and told me to speak Vietnamese. She gave me attitude and said “you understand Vietnamese why can’t you speak it?” She then tells me to repeat myself in Vietnamese. I said I only understand it and can only pronounce certain food names. I felt really uncomfortable with her attitude and at how much she was pushing me to speak the language fully for her. I was born here in America so if I could, I would’ve ordered in Vietnamese fully. I was shocked by her attitude but still tried to be respectful to her. She wrote the order, didn’t make eye contact with me at all, put the ticket on the counter, she didn’t even hand it to me and just walked away from me. I work in customer service as well and I didn’t understand why she was being so rude to me. I did not appreciate that behavior and you guys need to do better at this because I have seen you have American customers as well. I’ve ordered in English multiple times with other people and they treated me with respect every time. I don’t understand why she needed to take out her anger on me. I would never force her to speak English, I would appreciate it if she didn’t force her customers to speak Vietnamese just because I said the word Banh Mi doesn’t mean I fully speak the language and it sure as hell doesn’t give her the right to tell me what to do. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. This gives Vietnamese people a very negative and judgmental character. Don’t set that example to your customers.
Review Edit Response:
Bobby- I have been going to VN Tofu for years like I said. I wouldn’t mistake it for another Banh Mi place. I also have a receipt in my bank statement from VN Tofu today 04/09/2024. I looked at the woman for a few minutes and I remember her wearing black. Either a hat or maybe a black mask. She was a short older Vietnamese woman. I was still spoken rudely to and you didn’t even try to apologize to me. Ask any of your employees who was taking orders at the Banh Mi station between 5-5:30PM. I am a short Asian woman I had short hair, dark navy blue hoodie sweater, grey sweatpants and circle lens glasses. I remember the cashier being a younger woman and a young man brought me my Banh Mi when it was finished. Your response makes it seem like i’m lying and i’m not happy about this. I want someone to take accountability because you can keep trying to tell me what you believe and what your store values are but it doesn’t take away from the fact that I had a bad experience because of your employee. I couldn’t even make this up. I will be calling the store tomorrow to speak to you personally.
Best fresh banh mi in town and their prices are $4 per sandwich and they have the “buy 5 get the 6th free.” This store specializes in freshly made Vietnamese entrees and treats. We always get their soy milk which is fresh as well! The black top soy milk is sugar free and the orange top is with sugar. I always make the drive just to get my parents everything here, located in the shopping center near Great Wall make sure to stop by and try some stuff!
Was here Xmas Eve....idk what happened but my to go banh mi had no cucumbers cilantro jalapeños only the carrots and radishes. Got the banh xeo and had 2 pieces of meat and the shrimp was so small (I mean smaller then Tom ko).. my nuoc mia i usually get a Large but now you changed it to a small but charge for a Large ....now every time I go I always spend $100 + for that money I spent its not worth it no more. There's too many places open like this for me to keep giving my business to you guys!
Most of the times that I have purchased food from here, the food “Be Thui” always smells rotten, and the food called “Banh Day” smells spoiled. I end up throwing it into the trash and wasting 50 dollars. I know your food is awful but I kept coming back to see if this issue has changed. It clearly hasn’t and I will not return to this store.
