After looking for a garage to fix my automatic gearbox someone recommended me this guys ,even tho was the most expensive from all garages i put my trust thinking they will do a good job ,price changed 3 times first was £1700 then was £2100 then £2550 ,they asked for £1000 deposit so they start working on it wich i agreed to pay,call me a couple of times later saying they can’t fix it and give me all stupid excuses from a lose radiator bolt to lose wires to car being in an accident that’s why they can’t fix it even tho was irrelevant with the work the car requires,with pictures to profe was no loose wires anywhere,done a few trips there the owner Dave was very frustrated and rude saying if i don’t pay the full amount I won’t get my car back wich i had to do in the end ,this car was a present to my wife wich she’s pregnant and cause us so much distress,after taking the car to a different garage and inspected by myself the mechatronic unit with a big Chinese sticker on it they installed was leaking oil wich even if they would sort the car in the first place that would burn out very quickly as it only holds one litre of oil ,also the clutch wasn’t shimmed properly so i had to pay another £1700 to get the car sorted,send them 2 emails asking politely for my money back with no reply so next step is taking them to court and report them everywhere possible,guys beware this guys they don’t have a clue and don’t pay no deposit that’s their way to get your money ,don’t make my mistakes and read the reviews before unless me i seen all the bad reviews after i dropped the car ,every garage agreed that shouldn’t charge for a job they can’t do ,as a small business owner myself I would rather take a loss than look unprofessional and charge for a job I can’t do .Beware

I’m not one to leave reviews when purchasing a product or receiving a service but after the beyond amazing service received from VMTP Midlands Limited, I can't not leave a review. In January my CLA220 CDI AMG SPORT broke down and was taken to a garage in Tipton for repair by the AA. The state my car was left in by that previous garage was worse off than when it went in initially and I was forced to remove my car and find specialist help.
I came across VMTP after doing some research and I'm so glad I did. The professionalism, the experience and knowledge, and inviting energy were like nothing I’d come across before. They explained complex problems in a simplistic way and was able to give me an idea of what costing may possibly be and did whatever they could, even going out of their way to keep costing down, whilst also keeping me informed promptly throughout the time my car was there.
They were able to reassure me and leave my mind at peace which I couldn't thank them enough for especially with the experience I had at a previous garage. I will and would recommend them to anyone if they have a transmission or gearbox issue as I genuinely thought my car was never going to run again after being without out for near a month prior to them receiving it. I can't thank them enough and will take my car back there in a heartbeat but with the fix they provided I’d be extremely surprised if an issue were to reoccur anytime soon. Massive massive thanks to Lee and Nigel for the service!
Whilst not the most local to me, I decided to contact VMTP for an auto transmission service on my 3 series based upon reviews and their ZF specialist status.
Very impressive: nice staff - polite and easy to get car booked in. Great workshop with customer waiting area.
Vehicle gear changes seem to be improved and slick so very happy with work done.
Rebuilt my wife’s 1.6 petrol Nissan Juke 2016 Automatic CVT gearbox.
Apparently the core components were in a bad state and many new parts had to be replaced to replace the internal parts of the transmission.
After collecting the vehicle, you could immediately assume it was a new gearbox.
Would certainly recommend the company for their quality of service.

I needed work carried out urgently on my car. At VMTP Midlands the service was very professional and very friendly. The work was completed in two days. I would recommend them to anybody with gear box problems.
Amazing team!! Amazing garage!! Brilliant service!! My 12 plate Jag XF had a major gearbox failure due to incorrect gearbox oil used by ATS Euromaster(Aldridge). They sort it very quickly and Mr. Nigel Bishop kept me informed all the time. Now it drives like new!! Thank you very much Nigel, and all the best for you and your team!! Wanted a service on a CVT gearbox, on their video with Tim shaw it shows that they service Jatco gearboxes, used their online portal , no reply after three days so I rang them and the receptionist apologized for not replying and would get someone to call me after 1.00PM that day, needless to say that I am still waiting for that call over a week later!
Not impressed.
Date 22.08.2023 no one from this company ever bothered to call, even if they did not want to service the gearbox it would have at least have been polite to say so.
