Used to be a fantastic chippy years ago, been coming here 30 plus years. Had a bad meal last time but thought I'd give it another chance.
Kebabs were lovely.... found a long hair in the chips. Standards seem to be dropping as I know the owners retiring soon.

I've been a Visocchi's customer since I was a little girl and honestly say that there isn't another takeaway like it in Gateshead. It has been there as long as I can remember and the staff are still the same; kind, courteous and respectful. They always cook their food freshly on demand and it's simply delicious! I have never had a bad meal in all these years and would not go anywhere else. I would highly recommend. Thank you Visocchi's!

I ate from here for the first time last night and ordered fish and chips. The fish was nice and the chips were excellent, proper chippy chips. Service was friendly and the price was very reasonable. I'll definitely be back soon!
Edit: Second visit today... Unfortunately their pizza is very poor. The base isn't fresh, pizza sauce tasteless and toppings of poor quality. We'll be back for chippy fare, but will definitely avoid their pizzas. In my opinion, they should stick with what they're good at and take pizza off the menu!
I’d heard really good things about this take away, so thought I’d give it a go. I ordered 2 pizzas and a portion of chips. The service was great.
While the chips were lovely, the pizzas were a massive disappointment. Poor quality toppings and the base was like styrofoam. No flavour at all in the pizzas.
I may go back in the future to try their fish, but I would not recommend the pizzas.

The chips were soft and golden. The fish was fresh and were cooked just perfect. The prices are a bargain. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The whole atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend you trying this traditional local chippy. I will definitely be spending my money here again.
