Best KPortal Reviews

I visited Virgil's with one of my childhood friends who was in Atlanta for a business trip. We had a table reservation, but elected to sit at the bar instead. Our server Malik was very personable and made us a couple of proper Old Fashioned cocktails, which were not on the menu. Then, he recommended our food options, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We began with the Stawtuh Sampluh, which was a nice portion of some of their popular items, including eggrolls, shrimp, fried okra, and wings. For our main dishes, we ordered Slammin' Sammen and the Afta Church Plate. The Salmon plate was delicious, and practically melted in my mouth. Every item on the plate was seasoned to perfection, and my friend was very impressed with the freshness of the fried wings, mac-and-cheese, and collard greens on his plate. I will admit that the prices were slightly high for an establishment of this category, but the family atmosphere, large portions, and unique menu were impressive. Be prepared for a little wait after 5 p.m., because this restaurant is very popular. Overall, I highly recommend Virgil's for an evening out in College Park, and I would return again for another Lowcountry culinary experience.
Black owned and worth every penny ???????? Daeshawn (spelling?) took great care of us. Food 100/10, I got the wings & sweet potato waffles mom got shrimp & grits. Y’all have to try the sweet potato muffins. Will be back for the after church menu
I gave 3 stars because of the vibe, it’s clean, and the presentation of the food is top tier, however as an Atlanta native, I’d have to say the food is extremely bland. No seasoning. The fried chicken is bland, the collard greens have no taste at all, and lastly the macaroni looks amazing, but it’s also bland. The corn muffins were pretty good as well as the banana pudding cheesecake. I don’t think I’d return. I came here because I had a taste for some good soul food, I was unfortunately disappointed. The waiter was nice though. Parking is free for two hours and we were seated immediately.
Great dining spot with lots of flavorful unique dishes to choose from. I had the wings and seasoned potato wedges. Everything was seasoned very well and had nice sized portions. I also had the Chuck town brownie & ice-cream for dessert and really enjoyed it and loved the presentation with all the garnishment. Great work and best regards!!! Will definitely try to stop by when in the Atlanta area.
10/10! So glad this spot was on my itinerary. This was so good! Really delicious soul food. I highly recommend giving them a try. Everything we had was delicious. That cornbread Lawd it was as delicious as they say it is and was worth the wait. Our server Jamal was amazing! Great customer service and amazing food!
Spent $55 on dried out food. The chicken was dry and not seasoned. Shrimp was plain. The crab rice was dried out no meat just hard rice. The Mac and cheese was dried out and hard. The greens were salty. Everything was cold. Which could have been re heated if it wasn’t already dry and hard. We could not eat this food just money wasted. Spoiled my assistants birthday lunch,
This place is a whole vibe. From the moment we walked in, everything was lovely. Staff was super friendly and made us feel like family. The music was perfect. All the jams. We sat at the bar where Ari served us. She was so sweet and attentive. The food was excellent. Perfectly seasoned, hot and fresh. As a South Carolina low country native, I would recommend this spot.
I stopped here before catching my flight back to TX. When I walked in, the manager greeted me. There was no wait time, and I could find a seat fairly quickly. I ordered their chicken, greens, mac and cheese, and a side of crab rice. This meal was so good and did not take long to come out. Now, this drink was so good I forgot the name, but it was probably the best alcoholic beverage I had in ATL all weekend. I have put Virgil’s on my favorite food list. I'll come back to this restaurant when I'm in ATL again.
