I can't give enough praise for all of the food I have eaten here. Try it out... you won't be disappointed.
If you like a fried flour taco shell, ground beef, lettuce and shredded American cheese on your taco then you will Love this place.
Food was just (barely) alright. But the service was on another level of absurd and rude. I went in with my boyfriend and son and the owner (older lady) came over to our booth and before even giving us water, or chips & salsa, wanted to know exactly what was the situation with our table. She didn't want to believe that my son was mine as I apparently didn't look old enough to be his mother, and that she wasn't convinced my boyfriend was indeed, my boyfriend. It was not a flattering exchange, it was demeaning and inappropriate. It was needless to say, awkward and tainted the entire dinner. Won't be back, and don't recommend.
This is Still my Favorite Mexican in Wichita Hands down! Love everything menu item ive gotten over 30yrs. The chips and salsa are to go an enjoy just of themselves! I enjoyed the Special Monterey with slow roasted pork and my Wife got the 2 Taco dinner with beans and rive an a single Taco for my son. Everyone had a good time an went home very satisfied $33 not including tip
We walked into a gruff old woman who seemed bothered that we came in and just simply waved us on and said, "Sit over there." We sat ourselves and shortly after the same old woman came up and dropped off chips. She then proceeded to belittle me because I grabbed a menu off of another table, not knowing that the menu on our table was double sided. My wife asked a question and while it was being answered another arose and the old woman basically told her to shut up til she was done talking. Not a very friendly environment. Have no clue about the food. We left after that encounter. Their business must have more than enough customers, or else they like being verbally abused. Do not recommend at all.

This is my go to place for delicious Mexican food. I grew up on Villar’s so I’ve been a fan for decades. I was away for 17 years and when I moved back to town, they met my expectations. I like it all — their burritos, special Monterey, and Tacos are my favorites. They make their chips thin which I like. I bring people here a lot and my friends always enjoy the food and some come back without me. Great place. Nice people. Good food. I highly recommend it.
Food is fire!! Chips and salsa are always on point and the service is great too. Think it could use a bit of upgrading to make the atmosphere a little better but they def have everything else down.
