I've been living and working in another state for several years now. This place seems to have changed.
When I left there were teenagers running the restaurant. There was no supervision of any kind. This is a problem.
Now that I have moved back, I decided to try Villaggios once again. I found out that there is a new owner and there is always an adult on duty.
The place is a lot cleaner and appears to be a lot calmer without all the kids running it.
I would eat here again.
Every single table was dirty with leftover food trays except one. They had absolutely no business when I walked in and were just sitting there doing nothing. Absolutely disgusting and lazy.
The food was bland The seating area isn't set-up to accommodate most normal sized families with very little room for family gatherings. When you order fountain drinks you are supposed to get them yourself, however the drink machine is in the doorway into the kitchen so if you go for a drink you are very likely to be in the way.
I come to Norwalk 20 to 30 times a year for work and this place has absolutely become my favorite place to eat over the years, the food is so amazing that I struggle to decide what to order, id say the absolute must haves are the sausage sandwich (its so big that it could fill 2 people up and its only 7.50!) And the garlic focaccia bread with cheese. I grew up in a bakery and I can just taste the fresh homemade taste in all of there breads, it's amazing.
The employees have always been above and beyond awesome too, I've eaten here at least 15 times and haven't had a single experience that wasn't exceptional.
We ordered a half pepperoni half Italian sausage last week. Picked it up from the restaurant it was absolutely delicious. Move forward week too we ordered the exact same pizza couldn't wait to get it home. This pizza was nothing like the one we had a week before it barely had any sausage on it and it was absolutely swimming and sauce The sauce was so thick it was just running off of it couldn't even eat the pizza it was nasty breaks my heart. We have been told it's often like that it depends on who's making the pizza owner should really set some standards.
Great pizza! The crust is thin, sauce is just right and loaded with toppings. We also had a gyro that was really good. They put the sauce on the side. Very nice place to eat.
The kids running the place were having such a rough night. Absolutely swamped. Turned into an hour wait due to an order mix up (someone else ended up with our meal). Once we got our food, it was very good. I'll definitely go again.
Amazing food every time we come!
