Great place to go for pie, they have a great selection and make them fresh daily. I loved both the Pecan and the Strawberry Rhubarb! The service was excellent. The Eggs Benedict was alright, I did not like the ham. It was too thick and very tough. It also has a smokey flavor that cuts through too strongly for Eggs Benedict. A simple breakfast of eggs and waffles and hash browns is the way to go here.
Since moving to the Pace Milton area over three years ago, I was thrilled to discover a Village Inn restaurant nearby. For years, my family and I created fond memories dining at their Tampa location during our semi-frequent visits. Naturally, my expectations were high, and I was eager to relive those experiences at our local branch.
However, our first visit coincided with the tail-end of the pandemic, a period where many restaurants grappled with staffing challenges. Given the circumstances, I tried to moderate my expectations. Unfortunately, the food fell short of the mark, and a persistent musty odor marred our overall dining experience. Suffice to say, we left feeling disappointed and had no plans to return.
Despite this, recent positive reviews piqued my interest, especially the mentions of ongoing remodeling efforts. Intrigued, my son and I decided to give Village Inn another chance, and we stopped by for breakfast a few days ago.
The difference was staggering. We were seated promptly upon our arrival, and our server, Michelle, was attentive and efficient. The service was top-notch, the previously bothersome musty smell was nowhere to be found, and most importantly, the food was delightful.
Their display of pies was particularly tantalizing. While we didn't indulge during this visit, I'm excited to try them in the future.
Based on this greatly improved experience, I'm genuinely looking forward to our breakfast at the Village Inn this morning. This restaurant has successfully turned around my initial impression, and I can't wait to create new memories here.
We enjoyed our Saturday breakfast. My husband ordered the Denver Omlette with white toast and country potatoes. I ordered the eggs Benedict with country potatoes. We split a Belgian waffle. Our waitress was very friendly. The food came out super quick, and the order was accurate. We both enjoyed our main dishes and the waffle added a nice sweet bite. This eggs Benedict is served with ham steak, instead of Canadian bacon. I did not mind. It is a little thicker and sweeter than a traditional eggs Benedict meat. Our server had everything we needed when she served our food. A very pleasant and filling experience.
It's been a while since I'd been because it smelled of musty carpet last time I was there. I was pleased that the carpet has been replaced. JJ was our server and was SO nice. The food was delicious and delivered quickly! Definitely recommended for breakfast.
We ate here last weekend. We are always looking for new places with good food. We are diner folks...and always looking for diner type places.
The Village Inn fits the bill. Food was really really good. Fresh, hot and tasty. The wait staff were friendly and prompt. The prices were reasonable. We genuinely enjoyed our meal here and will be visiting again.
If you're looking for good food and great service...The Village Inn, in Pace is definitely worth it!!!
I hate to say this, but this village inn needs to be health inspected. Dirty booths, dirty windows ledges hair on the hot sauce bottle, and in my dad's Togo pie. On top of it our over easy eggs were severely under cooked. I am shocked by this and have severe nausea. Ruined our mother's day. I don't know if you can tell by the photo but that is raw egg slime from a raw egg.
I used to frequent this place years ago in 2019-2020! I stopped because the employees were horrible. The place was disgusting. The food took hours to get, so I moved on and went somewhere else! However, today which is February 26, 2024. I decided to stop back in and give it a try
I am absolutely pleased with what I found!
The place was clean, smelt good, and I did not know what anyone had eaten before because there was no food left on the floors !! My waitress Analiese White, Is the most pleasant person I have met in a long time she was very friendly, I had a genuine smile, she takes pride in her job. She is extremely knowledgeable of the menu, She respects herself, and the customers which is a big plus from what I have had in past experiences. I will definitely be back!! I give it a 10.
Good food and great pie to take home. Food quality is good and consistent with a warm and friendly atmosphere that you will enjoy a good place for the entire family. They serve breakfast anytime, along with a good menu for everyone to enjoy. A place to go when everyone wants something different to eat.
