Best KPortal Reviews
Wanted something for breakfast and this place was on my way to an apt. Had the ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. Thin sliced ham was good and hot. The whole sandwich was good. I also got the toast with jam and butter. Nice thick slice of bread that was toasted how I like it. Crispy edges and soft in the middle. Every edge of the toast was covered in jam.
I also got a slice of banana cake to try later.
Atmosphere inside was good. Pleasant music not playing too loud. Decor is fun and not overly done. I’d recommend this place to friends
This is the best Village Baker around. They’re all good, but this ones is the best. Great staff. Food is delicious and if they get it wrong they make it right quickly. Do yourself a favor, stop by today and get the turkey cranberry on honey rye. The bread is super thick, but perfection in texture and flavor. I’ve had it at least 10 times and am never disappointed.

Calm peaceful relaxing environment.
Manager came over and had a chat and a good laugh.
I'd go back
I eat here every time I come up to Salt Lake County. I don’t have a Village Baker where I’m from and so I look forward to it. I love the food and I’ve always had a great experience until now. After looking forward to eating here all week, I ordered my sandwich to go and the second I got home, I looked at my sandwich excited to devour and noticed it was hardly a sandwich to say the least. There was a few slices of meat, normally they pack it full of meat. When spending $11-$12 for a sandwich, I expect something awesome. Statistics are true, all it takes is one bad experience. I hate writing bad reviews but c’mon, the picture says it all.
I had an online order for pick up. My lunch break isn’t very long so I went through the drive thru to pick up my order. The girl seemed annoyed with me that I was early. However if I had just ordered the sandwich in the drive thru it would have taken the same amount of effort on her part. She told me to pull around to the front and that she would bring it out. This is what I opened once it was handed to me. The two slices of bread didn’t even match up. It was like they took to pieces of scrap bread to make my sandwich. Quality service is going down hill at this location over the last year.
I love Village Baker and have had great experiences at their 2 locations by me, but I most frequently go to the District location. Great food & great service! I have also used their catering services for professional & personal use and it’s always a hit with the office & family! Even with a slight glitch on an order one time, it was quickly corrected. I happened to meet the owner and she’s incredibly friendly & helpful. I will be back again & again!
I tend to give three stars these days for most things as they are just what they are meaning they are average and expected. This place has great service, great food, conveniently located and their prices are fair. Particularly love their Roast Beef and Provolone. Their variety of dishes as well makes them as good or better than the nearby "fast food" joints. Do yourself a favor and give them a try if you have not. They are easy to miss as they have no big billboard advertising and google maps wont show their name unless you zoom way in.
Great place that wasn't busy on a Saturday morning. We had a couple of breakfast sandwiches and a coffee. Just under $14 total!
