Love this little diner! Wish I got there more often. Gonna try! The potato dumplings were wonderful, bacon fried to perfection and my coffee cup kept full in spite if how busy it was. Even tho I haven't lived in the area for years, many of the faces and smiles I saw were familiar. It's a community hub that brings neighbors together to share a meal, coffee, and a chat. And you can browse and purchase some beautiful antiques while you're there too.
Love eating here with grandson n dad/great grandpa for his birthday. Always yummy food n friendly people.
Definitely a family place. Everyone seemed to know everyone. Children are made to feel special. The food was delicious and staff was very attentive.
I had 3 people dining with me. We chose Friday because they serve Potato Klub. I ordered off the menu while the others had Klub. They said it was excellent. Potato Klub is a Scandinavian dish made from grated potato with flour and salt worked in until it is the right consistency to make a ball. A cube of ham is placed in the center and served with ham or bacon. Some families use different sausages in the center. They are then boiled with a ham hock. Served with butter and sugar. They are good the next day fried in butter. If I have to eat them, I prefer maple syrup.
The people that work there are fun to tease and visit with and the food is Great! People come from all over on Friday's for Dumplings and they are the best !!
Very good breakfast and very reasonable. The place is very clean. Everyone is very friendly. Coffee is Folgers made in drip coffee maker. I've been there twice and will return.
Great place for potato klub each Friday! Arrive early though, sometimes they sell out! It's a diamond in the rough!
Best potato dumplings just like my mother and grandmother made. Worth the drive no matter far.
