I had their BBH here before and it was delicious. This time, I ordered their special "Bun Rieu Tom Cua" - out came a large bowl but with small amounts of ingredients of noodles and toppings. The small handful of tapioca noodles (photo is after lifting the noodles upwards, small layer), 2 slices of pork, 2 shrimps, and a small slice of their crab cake left me hungry after finishing the bowl. The soup broth is flavorful though, I will take it home to go and make another meal with it.
For $14 for the bowl, I was hoping to leave full - this was after just having my cup of coffee too. My friend enjoyed his usual mixed fried rice though ????. If I come again, I will order something else.
We ate here twice, first try we ordered the Duck Salad and Bun Dau Mam Tom, second time we had the Com Tam (porkchop rice platter) and Cha Ca Thang Long. Duck salad was good, rest was meh. The restaurant is small and doesnt smell good. Service was not that great either. Wouldn’t come back.
We had eaten many Vietnamese food before. The Pho here is on top of the list. We ordered the spicy beef, the seafood, and the traditional. The soup in the traditional (#28 on the menu) was just like what I had in Vietnam a few years back, with a lot of flavors. The wrap appetizer was not our favorite but we like to try new stuff. We plan to be back and have the Pho again. BTW, the Philippines ice cream shop across the street is awesome too.
Got the Pho Dac Biet Duoi Bo
With oxtail.
Ordered 4 bowls, each had 3 small oxtail in it.
Taste was not bad, bit
pricey for $13.95 each bowl.
Wish provided cilantro and other greens.
The place is small and tight.
A cozy little place that offers a great selection of Vietnamese comfort food. This restaurant is as authentic as it gets when it comes to Viet food in Central Florida. Service can be slow during peak hours but the food is definitely worth it.
Very casual place for Vietnamese food, but they have some unique dishes that you don't find in many other restaurants. We loved everything we tried. Prices are very reasonable, service was friendly. We didn't wait long for food. I'd definitely come back. Parking is a little tricky. You park in the back and walk through a little strip mall with other Vietnamese restaurants, and then turn right. It's a very small restaurant.
Small cute restaurant, but very helpful staff and a warm inviting vibe. Food was also top quality, broken rice is exactly what we were looking for. Definitely will be back to try other menu items!
Gỏi Ngó Sen Tôm Thịt: Way too much meat with very little ngó sen. The meat was thick, not thinly sliced like traditional dish. In fact, it was too thick that it felt like we were eating a pork dish instead of a gỏi. The sweet and sour sauce for the gỏi was decent, with much more sweetness than sourness.
Bún Bò Huế: I did not taste mắm ruốc, which is the main ingredient for the broth, at all. Everything else was average at best.
Bánh Canh Tôm Cua: The broth was so oily. The only thing we could taste is the garlic oil put into the broth. The bánh canh (noodle) themselves were thick and chewy, and it was perfectly cooked. You got 2 shrimps, 2 pieces of pork, 2 quail eggs, and 1 crab claw. The quail egg was the canned one, not freshly boiled. The white park tasted like cardboard, and the yolk tasted like watery mess. Other toppings tasted ok-ish at best.
Rau Má Đậu Xanh: Decent flavor but not enough đậu xanh (mung bean).
Chè 3 màu: Too much food coloring. Taste was very generic. They definitely bought it from somewhere else. It wasn’t too sweet.
Overall, the dishes weren’t great. I don’t know about other items, but I recommend you not order these. I probably won’t come back since there are som any other options in the area.
