I ordered a Uber eats order from this restaurant. I ordered a 5 piece chicken wing dinner with 2 sides of Mac and cheese and collard greens. It was pretty good… the collard green could’ve been just a little more flavorful but just do like spicy stuff so I could be biased when it comes to the greens. The chicken was a little over cooked. However, it was a good meal. I added some honey on the cornbread and it made it taste a lot better it was so good and cooked so well. I really like the soul food from here and can’t wait to try more items on the menu. I like how they put foil on the items to keep them fresh too and warm. Packaging was great.
Ordered off Uber eats for the first time. Plate was heavy. I enjoyed my food except for when I got to the last 2 chicken wings they were undercooked and bloody. Very disappointing because it was seasoned really good. My husband got the same plate and had no problems. Will probably give them one more chance.
I ordered chicken dinners for my family & i The chicken was under cooked taste like it was cooked in burnt chicken grease & I also had a little piece of pork chop inside my chicken dinner. What if I was allergic to pork?? Yams were nasty they weren’t sweet & was still kinda hard. && that mac & cheese chileeee it’s a complete 0/10 taste spoiled & had a few burnt noodles idk if the cooks were having a bad day but this was my first & last time ordering from here & I will NEVER order again . $55 down the drain
First I wanna thank the cooks ancestors. The bbq chicken was just about falling off the bone tender. My mom would be a lil upset if she was to see hom much I enjoyed the greens and mac&cheese.
I have been craving soul food, particularly collard greens, so I decided to order from Victory, I ordered through Grubhub.
My food arrived quickly and the delivery driver was pleasant.
I'll go one by one with what I ordered.
Chicken Tenders: crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfectly cooked I would have liked a bit more spice to it though 9.5 /10
Collard Greens : Tender and juicy, however I couldn't taste the smokiness from the Turkey, I added salt and amplified the taste 9.6/10
Mac & Cheese : I couldn't eat them, the cheese seems curdled, maybe I'm not used to the cheese that they used but it just wasn't for me. 1/10
Candied Yams: they were soft and flavourful, I would definitely get them again 9.2/10
I will definitely order again though because I want to try other things.
Absolutely delicious. I ordered on Uber Eats and got a buy one get one, got 2 chicken dinners. The greens were great, the macaroni was delicious, the cornbread was great. The chicken was good, not the best, but still very good. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal.
For real though, the macaroni was some of the best I’ve ever had.
Edit: the packaging was WAY better than most places.
I’ve ordered from here so many times.. Gave them a break because my last two times my food was not the best.. decided to give them a try again today. When I arrived to pick the food up it wasn’t ready so I waited. No problem. They allowed a young lady that came from the outside and go behind the counter and handle containers without washing her hands. I was checking my food and got to the container with my meatloaf meal and when I opened it, it would put you in the mind frame of Alpo dog food.. it was a mess. I expressed I couldn’t eat that and to my surprise the young lady who was making the plates got an attitude with me about it.. the food has fallin off and to be honest the service has never been the best! My greens were definitely on point. Seeing I got two orders of them instead of my yams(their mistake) ????????♀️
Been here at least 20 times. It’s usually really good but some days the Mac n cheese is off, too creamy. IMO it’s possibly the best soul food in the city. Meatloaf is ????????
