Really disappointed with this place, chips were stale and overcooked and the fish was some tasteless nondescript white fish covered in thick uncooked batter. If this is the Best in the area" I'll be going for a longer drive next time. Feel ripped off for the price.
This chip shop serves lovely food. However very very very slooooooooooow. If you have a spare 30 minutes then go for a bag of chips. No word of a lie you will be in there between 15 and 30 minutes for a small order. Absolutely ridiculers waiting times even when there isn’t a queue. Like I said very nice food but I don’t think I will be going again because of waiting times.
Great local fish and chip shop with other options like kebabs available, the food is always really hot and the fish is fresh and good size with generous portions! Won’t go anywhere else. You do need cash though as they don’t take card.
Just had a chicken and chips, absolutely spot on, chips are good, chicken was juicy crispy and tender, salad was fresh and cold and chilli sauce had heat, 10/10 for that

My First Visit this evening and I have to say the Fish Chips & Peas where the best I’ve ever had . The fish was beautiful white and chunky fillet with light batter ! The Service was excellent and the serve over and service extremely clean !! I’ll be back for Sure !

Possibly the worst food I’ve paid for
Every time you go in for a chicken kebab your told to come back even when you pre order you have to wait over 30 minutes
Chips cold fat soaked in old oil and full of bits of potato skins and dead eyes
The kebab Doner kebab been hacked with a blunt cutter cold dry and the only word is went in car park empty now I know why go back 8 years you could not get in on the car park and never had to come back for chicken or cold fat soaked chips

Lovely experience tonight from Victoria's Plaice as ever. Food is consistently good and the friendly staff always give you a smile. The crowning glory is that they use recyclable packaging. If only everywhere made such an effort.
