Terrible food. No flavor, small portions. Plus the rest of the order was wrong. Sorry excuse for a roast beef poboy
The buffet is good, I'll start by saying that. But unfortunately when my son & I ordered to-go plates we were sadly very disappointed! I ordered the large catfish plate & my son ordered the large fried shrimp plate. Let me say that the catfish was delicious, but I only got 5 tiny pieces. (Large plate) My son said the shrimp was very good too, but he only got 5 shrimp on his (LARGE plate). Neither of us got any hushpuppies & our French fries were old! (You know how fries taste that have been cooked for a couple hours and just sitting there?) That's how these were! Also, since they never give many fries on your plate regardless of what you ordered, we'd ordered an extra large order of these shoe-leather, stale French fries! Well, needless to say we were hungry when we went to bed. It's so sad to me, because I know if cooked fresh their food is GREAT! On top of everything that went wrong with our order..... This horrible meal cost us almost $40. I would've gladly paid that had they given us fresh fries & an adult sized portion of food! I hope the manager reads this & fixes the problems I've mentioned! It's such a shame when a good restaurant gets in a hurry & their customers & food have to pay the price. Very sad by this.... Obviously.
Food is kinda of blah. An exception is their cheese burger but not as good as Big John's. They once had the worst service in the state. Setting at a table I couldn't get waited on even after calling and telling them what table I was at. The current wait staff make a genuine effort to accommodate customer request but the kitchen is slow. To get a grilled chicken salad, I had to order a grilled chicken breast then build my own salad from the salad bar. The chicken was over spiced. I'd have preferred to have just been served a salad like in most restaurants. Doesn't compare to the old RV's which it replaced.
Just leaving Vikki's, I'm now in Winnsboro at 2:32 on a Sunday. Sign on the door at Vikki's said they close at 3pm. Me and my husband arrived about 1:45 thinking we had plenty of time to eat. We eat
one plate get up to fix another plate and all the food has been put
up. I asked for a discount and only got a discount on one of the meals. It was a buffet and that made no sense. They didn't even tell us they were about to put the food up to see if we wanted another plate!!! Really? This was poor management and a lack of care for customers! I am very un satisfied and they have lost 2 customers due to this unheard of nonsense. So, if you ever eat there be sure to go very early or you might get taken advantage of monetarily like we were!
Vickis is a nice family country restaurant with good home cooked meals and the people are friendly and the best waitress in town (me) I love working here the customers make it my day s and I want to thank you all for your kindness. So if your in the area stop in and grab a bit to eat, see y'all there
Went to eat breakfast on Sunday morning. Although it was open there were no customers. When we walked in there was no one to greet us and after sitting there for over 5-10 minutes no one ever came out to say anything or offer any service. Really??? What business does that.
THE ITIS: Be prepared to het a good ole nap afterwards. That was some good fish Jesus!!!! Everything was delicious and a damn good price for a fish buffet. Hospitable and good ole Southern comfort. I will be going back soon!
Made a quick stop driving through town on our trip and had a quick bite....food was AMAZING! Best Burger & fried onion rings I've ever had!
