Everything was very good! We had the catfish sandwich, chili, homemade onion rings, and chicken fried steak - would recommend everything, especially the onion rings. Cash only.
Amazing place. Definitely down home, but man, when I got into that "Wye burger", mentioned to my friend how good it was, and he told me that "it was a Missouri State award winning hamburger", I knew I had hit the jackpot of rural Missouri diner-joints. All four of us loved the food, the no- pressure dining experience...I think we hung out for at least two and a half hours.... Its just that kind of place. You'll love it.
Delicious food! Very clean and great service! We came with a large group and they kept up with the fresh food on the buffet. They don’t allow smoking anymore so it was a great atmosphere for our family. I couldn’t have asked for a better time. They even took a family photo for us in the parking lot so our large group of over 20 could be in it! Highly recommend
Great small town family restaurant. Generous portions and menu with lots of comfort food staples to choose from. Prices are mid range. Staff is very nice and attentive. Food comes quickly and correctly. A cozy place right off the highway to sit and visit while you have a delicious meal. If you're local enough or know you'll be going by they'll also prepare carryout orders. They have a gravel parking lot, but it's small enough won't get your vehicle all dusty.
Was pretty disappointed with how this restaurant has changed. It use to be so great and a staple of the community. We had the buffet, which wasn't much. I felt the quality of the food was very low compared to very high price, especially for location. I'm so sad to see it like that since this restaurant use to be in my family. Then on top of our $80 ticket for barely anything, they decided to wait until the end to let us know that they only took cash or check. We said we didn't have cash and asked for an ATM and she said there's a bank down the road go there. I knew it would very different but this was just disappointing and honestly rude!
The food here is home cooked, not like other places. Its down home country cookin', Priced reasonable for the amount of food you get. And on certain occasions they do have a small warm buffet and a cold buffet. Nothing fancy or big.
There are draw backs to this little place. Smoking is allowed inside, but not in any specific area. And they only accept cash (no checks or debit/credit cards.)
Food was ok. Waitress was friendly, check out person not so much. FYI they only take cash, and maybe checks I think? Our first time we enjoyed seeing it is a community restaurant, or at least it seemed like it. Patrons seemed to know each other and they were all chatting. We tried to go back 2 weeks later on our way back, unfortunately they let people smoke in the place. We had to walk right back out. Food was decent, if it wasn't for the smoking in the restaurant and the distance, I would go back. It also seems to be the only place to eat around the area.
Me and my husbands first trip around vichy and we saw this restaurant and will definitely come back.the food was amazing.our kind of food hot and crunchy so we try to copy since we live hours away but couldn't copy..????????????????Love all the food we had❤❤❤
