Such a beautiful bridge! I could feel the history in every beam and every bolt. I will say parking area and how to get to it is not very well marked. I wound up parking across the street and I didn't mind the walk in the park but crossing what is obviously a main thoroughfare on an extremely busy day, there was a festival, can be very dicey since there are no street lights on site. Get ready to run across the street as soon as you don't see a vehicle and that can be difficult as well since the road bends & turns & it's difficult to see oncoming traffic. But once you're able to make it to the other side it's such a great place! The cowered bridge is the doorway to the Veterans park & old time military vehicle which is very well preserved. There is a memorial to all branches of the military and also a memorial to lives lost locally & also by national tragedy. It's a peaceful area strewn with flowers, well kept lawns , benches & plaques which explain the dedication. There's a,stream that runs under the bridge which I did see a few people taking advantage of with their Kayaking and fishing boat skills. It's a simple place to pay respect and admire this beautiful covered bridge. Definitely will be back.1

Historical bridge in honor of Vetrans... and this place reminds me of youth growing up in Lake Station, IND. -You must fish deep river also to add to your visit here. Btw, this bridge sits adjacent to a magnificent park too. Check them out. Have fun.

It lets you drive over the water, it even got a roof on it what more could ya ask for? It's like that bridge in Beetlejuice only it didn't kill Alec Baldwin. Perfect 5/7.

Beautiful covered bridge. You can't drive over it. unless it's a bicycle. Nice park , big gazebo to sit in. Just need bathrooms.

This is my favorite bridge. It makes me happy when I think about it and when I'm in it I feel like everything is okay. I think there is a monster living in the lake below and that is beautiful to me. Thank you for being a bridge.
