We were from out of town. We stopped by Veronica’s for breakfast. I had an omelette, my husband ordered pancakes , sausage, hash browns, and eggs. It was all delicious. Because it was so good we went the next morning. I got the home fries with a side of gray while my husband had full breakfast again. We were greeted with such hospitality you would have thought we had known them for years . What a great experience all the way around. PS they also had great coffee!!
Reuben sandwich was good, the mayo on there was different but the Thousand Island-type sauce they put on the side did the trick. The cheeseburger meat was dreadful and tasted cheap. Hotdogs with chili/slaw were well balanced. I should have added cheese but it didn't come out in a soggy mess which is nice but nothing stood out flavor wise with the chili or coleslaw. The people and environment are wonderful but the lunch fell a little short.
Wonderful place! Had Mothers Day Breakfast early on Saturday with my whole family! Everyone loved everything they ordered and of course we all shared!
Excellent chicken and Dumplings were the special today and also had very yummy tomato slices! Very friendly and fast service!
We stopped early the day after Christmas on a road trip back to Florida from North Carolina. Everyone - including the local regulars-was friendly. Our waiter filled our travel mugs with coffee so we would have some for the road. Thr service was quick and the food was good. Lovely experience. Highly recommended.
A hidden treasure, Veronica's Cafe in Rabun Gap offers consistent quality country cooked breakfast and lunches, with a dinner buffet on either Friday or Sunday ( or perhaps both days).
The owner and his staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is just big enough to ensure wait times stay at a minimum.
I had breakfast and it was great food for a Very reasonable price!! Will definitely check out their lunch menu next time!!!????????????
