Staying in vernal for a couple of days with the family and decided to check out Vernal Brewing Co based on the positive reviews. This place did not let us down! I am a big fan of trying local brews and the house draft beer was phenomenonal. At first glance, prices seem a little high (especially for kids meals) but the quality and portion sizes make it definitely worth the price. I will say, my burger was slightly overcooked, but still managed to be one of the best burgers I have ever had since the meat had amazing flavor and the pickled cucumbers took it to another level. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place!
A nice, dog-friendly gastro pub and brewery with good food options. The fried Brussels sprouts are delicious (you can ask for no bacon if you’re vegetarian), and the beers are crisp and refreshing. This is probably the best place to stop for food and drink in Vernal. We stopped here multiple times because it was a reliable brewery with good hours. Vernal doesn’t have a ton of options, so if you’re out in Vernal, traveling around to Dinosaur National Monument, Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, or just passing through, you’ll truly enjoy this stop. It gets 5 starts from me for being a diamond in the rough in Vernal and for being dog-friendly. Having a dog-friendly patio was a lifesaver!
Great food with a fun vibe. There were a variety of age groups when we went - ranging from families with young kids to couples to groups and older ones. Service was very good and prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Highly recommend! Just a note - there really isn't any signage on the building (maybe because it's new?) so it's a little hard to spot.

Me and my partner went here on a busy Saturday night. We did receive the service we wanted through the whole meal though so we were impressed. The prices caught me off guard initially but I understood once I bit into my food. I had chosen the VBC burger with fries. The pickles were like no pickles I had ever had before but tasted amazing. Honestly I thought they were cucumbers at first but it turned out they were pickles. Everything about the burger was amazing. I would describe it as a worthwhile gourmet burger. My partner and I tried a variety of their home brews on tap. Impressive selection. I had to get a root beer float made with the house root beer. That would be my favorite part. I highly recommend it.
Good beer. Nice upscale yet cozy atmosphere. Since it wasn’t too busy they let me get on the WiFi and work while I ate delicious chicken pot pie.
This place was so good we came back a second time on our trip. Then menu had so many good options it was difficult to decide. My kid got the lemon salmon and said it was the most delicious thing they have ever had. It is very fresh food and a little hipster vibe. We loved that it had a dog friendly patio and they brought a bowl of water for our dogs. There is a beautiful garden next to it. I’m not sure if they get their produce from there, but that would be amazing! It is definitely worth walking around. They have lawn games on the patio too. Super fun atmosphere. All the staff was very pleasant.
The food was fanTASTic! I had the Chicken with Puff Pastry (similar to a chicken pot pie????.) Be sure to take home their ???? STRAWBERRY RHUBARB COBBLER. So buttery and delicious. I would expect more pickles from the pickle platter.... (I didn't expect olives, even though they were good too.) The BRUSSEL SPROUTS were perfectly salty and crispy. One thought would be to add the restaurant name out front... It's not well marked. Loved it. Would definitely come back.
