Ruth is AMAZING! Very accommodating and understanding. I have 3c curls and when I left that salon you wouldn't have known that! My hair was pin straight and I didn't have to sit under a dryer for 2 hrs. This is the first I had my hair done With her technique and it really works! It's safe for it curls. She made sure to use heat protection before she stretched my hair and before she used the iron. Her products are also quality. My favorite thing about Ruth is that she's still as passionate and in love with her job as if it was her first day on the job, and when you leave the salon it shows!! She puts so much love into her work that your hair can't help but scream thank you as it glistens in lighting. The hospitality is amazing as well, I didn't get the name of the lady that washed my hair but she was also so pleasant. I felt welcomed, I can't wait to go back!!
Went there last year asking for a haircut and a blow out, came there and after had washed my hair , thought I was only getting a hair cut and proceeded to yell at me and be rude to me for their mistake and unprofessionalism. Their prices are also not affordable as well. I would highly advise against this salon. Treat your customers with respect.
I recently moved to Long Island from the City. I was so afraid to start going to a new hairdresser. Thank the Lord for guiding me to Venus Salon and Spa! I love this salon so much! Ruth has rejuvenated my hair back to life! I have curly, dry hair and as soon, as I sat down. Ruth worked her magic on me using her well known conditioners and blowing my hair out using less heat from the blow dryer. My hair is finally growing and looks so healthy now! The salon is clean and has a welcoming feel when you walk-in. I also love how accommodating Ruth is, she always squeezing in, when I call her short notice for a wash and blow! Overall RUTH and Venus Salon and Spa are a 10 out of 10! If you want Healthy, Gorgeous, looking hair you must come here!!!!!

My 2 daughters ages 13yr and 6yr and have been clients of Rus for the past 2years and continue to be. She is the most amazing and dedicated hairdresser. We love the attention to every detail Rus provides with our hair. My favorite part is my facials.
Please avoid this place at all cost ! I called to schedule an appointment for my 8 yrs old to get a Hair trim and Blowout. As I was trying to inform the cosmetologist about my daughter’s condition . I explained it was not contagious & got an okay by her dermatologist to get her hair done . The. Lady discriminates & says OH No we have no appointments & says that my daughter has lice without seeing her and after me explaining that she was seen by a dermatologist & has white piedra! (White Piedra ) !is a superficial fungal infection of the hair caused by Trichosporon asahii. It is also known as trichomycosis nodosa or trichomycosis nodularis.
I honestly thought if you’re a cosmetologist you would be educated when it comes to hair conditions !
Rus is the best hairdresser ever ????????♀️ I stopped going to any salon during the pandemic and let me tell you… This woman brought my hair back to life! They are bouncy and shiny like never before ???? Rus salon is super clean which is rare in US and the energy of the place is so calming and relaxing ???? I recommend everyone who is looking for a good hairdresser to come here✨
horrible with appointments like it’s ridiculous. i called to make an appointment and apparently the lady claimed to never speak to me even tho i had mentioned i gone there multiple times with my sister. she knew us and claimed not to on the phone and the the appointment for a saturday at 10 am. i come in on saturday and she tells me doesn’t know about a single appointment and how she never even spoke to me. i wasnt even blaming her but she was jumping to “it wasn’t my fault” then asked me if someone else could do my hair instead of her. it’s ridiculous last time going here
