So sad! I use to come here all the time and never had a bad experience I took a few months off from getting my nails done and came back to a not so good experience. The woman was so so sweet, but it took two hours for ANC service and the quality is very poor. So disappointed as I’m going on vacation and wanted to treat myself, but I am going to have to go to another salon and have them redone before hand.
UPDATE: The manager called me and apologized! I went back and had them fixed the same day and they came out lovely!! That type of care and effort means a lot!
I got a liquid gel manicure which is apparently different from a gel manicure that i paid $67 for already and went back for a pedicure that was great and I wanted the shape changed on my manicure and so then it turned into needing to remove the whole color with the drill and then needing to match the color and it made me nervous on getting the right color as the same one and so i just defaulted to white. I did not understand why I was gonna be charged $75 for the changing and a manicure. The prices have skyrocketed. I was charged for my pedicure period. But then I was charged $40 for a whole new gel manicure basically? This was in a span of 5 days and so I caused a whole scene and I panicked so i’m standing here crying because i’m overwhelmed by having to speak up. I told my lady I got these done there and I just wanted a new shape and color it was not worth the $40 but my girl did an amazing job. I told her I only had 15 minutes too when I saw her take out that drill. I ultimately am 40 minutes late to work when I was explaining my situation. they took $15 off but that 15 shouldn’t have even been there in the first place. Please more transparency and do better. Love Grace though she was great and I tipped her $20, but basically $90 for All I wanted was a gel manicure.
My pedicurist Chaw did an amazing job. On the other hand my manicurist Thi Trinh is a sweet girl but NEEDS to be re-trained on ANC application and tips.
My nails were crooked, and it is embarrassing how terrible my nails look. I’m going tomorrow to get them re-done at a different salon. My fingertips feel like I dipped them in cement.
I saw my sisters nails and got her recommendation. I hate when I get my nails done and the powder looks lobbed on. Maggie did a great job filing the anc down so it’s flush and looks like my natural nail. She really took her time to make sure they looked perfect. Found my new nail spot!
I’ve gone to venetian for years and always enjoyed it until a few months ago when the owners switched. They aren’t restocking popular colors, the appointments are over booked and there was no communication about not only the prices all going up $5 per service but an added credit card fee. I’m always punctual to my appointments and was waiting up to 30 min past my appt because they overbooked the nail artists. I had a simple white nail pedicure done before a trip about a month ago and went back the next day to have most of them fixed because they all chipped off. I never had to go back for fixes before. I am glad I followed Iris, Abby and Daphne over to Natural Nails in guilderland to continue getting beautiful nails done at a normal price point.
I felt super rushed to pick a color, the guy asked me 3 times in a matter of 5-8 minutes. It was also disappointing that they didn't bother to remove the nail glue properly from my skin (see photo). Plus, the edges of my nails could've been cleaned up a little bit more. I didn't say anything at the time because my friend was happy with her bridal nails otherwise I would have.
On the bright side, I did love the shape of my nails, and the tech was accommodating in adjusting the color to make it less white and more pink. Overall, it was a bit of a mixed experience, with some areas that could definitely use improvement.
I want to make it clear that this is not a reflection of the previous owners. The previous owners were LOVELY and took pride in their artistry. I would give 5,000 stars to the previous owners if I could.
The new owners, however, have tanked the place quickly. They push acrylic products, have raised the prices, and refuse to replenish popular products.
I followed my nail artist, Daphne, to Natural Nails in Guilderland. Much happier with the prices and variety of product.
I don't usually go out of my way to leave poor reviews, but I feel I need to. I have had a few bad experiences here, but this is the worst. The man who did my pedicure was using the scrubber and callus remover so sloppily and rushed that he cut my skin multiple times. He also ripped a hang nail off pretty aggressively, and some skin went with it. I was visibly uncomfortable and in pain, even said "that hurts" , but he continued to be rough. Never coming back here again. I've been putting antibiotic ointment on them because they're so red and don't want them to get infected...ridiculous.
