It’s a cozy place to dine and socialize with family and good friends. The prices of the food are reasonable. And the portion is the right amount! I had their Veal Marsala with spaghetti, and it was delicious! The waiter we had was very nice! I highly recommend having a meal at Vel’s!

First time. I had the seafood platter. Really good portion size. The scallops, clams, fish and shrimp were battered and cooked to perfection. All of it tasted really fresh, the scallops and clams had that sweetness that only comes from fresh seafood. Definitely a do over. There were several things on the menu that I would like to try. Keep up the great work.
Vel's is a nice neighborhood italian family restaurant. Food was really good! My Boyfriend and I were so hungry, we forgot to take pictures of our food. But we did take quick picture of tabke at the Bar. We had Kale soup, shrimp catertorrie(sp) and a lobster dish????
Little family restaurant with great service, food, prices and drinks. We had a party of 7 including kids & our server was great she went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed also another server saw one of the kids spilled a drink and he brought over a pile of napkins, as he ran to another table because he saw us struggling with the few we had left.???? I'd highly recommend the kale soup, clam strips with onion rings, mac & cheese and the Greek dressing are all excellent!!!! Watermelon or regular margarita are both great.
Our take out dinner was fantastic. We had; calamari, macaroni and cheese, oyster plate, seafood platter and chicken pot pie. All of the seafood was fried perfectly. The calamari was tender and tasty, the mac and cheese was perfectly al dente and the cheese was perfectly balanced and lite. The french fries were the best we've had in a long time. Finally the chicken pot pie, classic so if you're craving it you won't be sorry.
All day I kept thinking of seafood. I tried calling in an order at least a dozen times. No luck. I walked in and ordered take-out. My only problem was everywhere I waited it seemed I was in the way. But, the food came hot and at the time they said. I ordered the fried seafood platter and as usual it was a very generous amount. My only disappointment was the whole fried clams. They were stringy and rubbery. Everything else including the French fries was excellent !
Great local spot with good food. The clam chowder was delicious and the fried scallops were phenomenal. I also enjoyed the crab cake dinner special. Lots of options here, and something for everyone.
