This is a classic little dinner style restaurant. The atmosphere was a little dated, the service was okay, and the costumer base was definitely centered around "regulars". That said the food options were really good (went for breakfast), the staff was friendly, and overall the food was good. This is a good place to try as long as you're not in a hurry.
Yesterday was my first time going to the Valley Inn. I absolutely loved it. The food was fantastic. The service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere was lovely. I like going to restaurants and making good small talk with the waiters. I will definitely have to go here again soon. (:
This is an older restaurant that has been in business for years. This was our first visit. The intererior is old and out dated but quaint and simple. It could use some cleaning as far as vents and restrooms. It is important if you have food allergies to let your server know. I asked that my sandwich not include tomatoes and ot was served with them. The server took the sandwich back and they removed the tomatoes from the sandwich but delivered the same one. No new sandwich was made. Be careful of food allergies! There is easy parking and it is on the first floor. It did NOT seem to be too LGTBQ+ friendly. There is an older crowd that frequents this place and if you aren't of their age or gender it is uncomfortable. We will not be back. There are other places that meet higher expectations.
Fork was dirty. Still had food on it. The interior is that of a grandparent's basement. The waitress was ok. She was confusing, she said hello and walked on past....took me a second to realize I was to follow her. Then when she came to take our order she didn't say anything, she stood there. We thought she was getting her tablet ready or whatever. Service was fast. Food was awful. The sausage gravy is definitely from a can. The eggs were over cooked and dry. Home fries were dry and just kinda fell apart. The only saving grace was the green chili, however it was very watered down. All in all, I'd never go back and was not worth the $36 I paid.
Here are the reasons I left before ordering my breakfast this morning. I ordered coffee and water to start. The water had something that looked like food on the outside of the glass and in the bottom. When I received my coffee a moment later, there was lipstick on the outside and on the rim of the cup. I then looked closely at the silverware and both the spoon and fork were dirty. At this point I lost my appetite and walked out.
Been here several times. The atmosphere is not why you go here; although it is friendly and frequented by locals. Always hot, tasty and freshly made. Good prices given the current economy.
Great place great service had the ultimate omelette and then asked them to add green chili strips so delicious highly recommend grape food
Eat here often and never a complaint. Food is well prepared and staff is pleasant although when crowded they still manage to keep up. This is a Lakewood gem!
