Best KPortal Reviews

The Holocaust Museum was very moving. We were disappointed that the shoe exhibit wasn't there. That was one of the main things we wanted to see. Exhibit felt too full of people to be able to do all the reading that there was in it. Which people would walk in front of you to read themselves even though we weren't done. Which causes frustration with people. It would be great if it was updated with the audio readers. Then people wouldn't have the reading struggle.
A lot of these reviews are ones of the actual museum by misguided people and not the cafe itself. The cafe is alright and the staff upstairs are decent but the security guards are just so incredibly rude. Having to deal with their attitudes makes you just want to turn around and leave, it’s not even worth going in at that point. There’s USDA a block away and a few great cafes closer to the children’s museum. Don’t waste your time coming here and giving these people with horrible attitudes your money.
Food was low quality for such a high price. 4 dishes, spent $50+. No table service and they ask for a tip. Had to go through security, and I thought there was more museum inside.... nope, just food. I guess our meal price helped keep us safe.... ????
The cafe is in a separate building from the Holocaust Museum, just behind the building toward the Tidal Basin. It is a very nice space and the food options were better than the usual cafeteria food.
Food here wasn’t great in my opinion. It’s pretty basic sandwiches which are already premade and maybe reheated.
$10 ish dollars for the different options.
3 star - Average. Decent to visit once
The cafe was very nice and clean and the food was delicious. A little pricey but that is to be expected in a popular tourist area
Visiting this museum was so sad just knowing what happened and actually seeing the history behind it and reading the stories and see the images and artifacts from that horrible time period. You could feel the emotion from other people as you walked through and as the tour guide spoke about the exhibits and told the tragic history that millions of people experienced. I recommend visiting this museum if in Washington.
The food was decent and the place was clean. Prices are reasonable. I certainly wouldn't go there to dine, but for a quick bite to eat I'll see in the museum, it was more than adequate.
It certainly doesn't deserve more than three stars, but I'm giving it four because for what it purports to do (museum cafeteria), it does very well.
