Stopped by this place on 13 April. Been coming here every time I'm in LA for a long time. For $11, I got three meat and half and half chow mein and rice. Food was pretty good, especially the jalapeño chicken. That chicken was fire. Sweet and spicy. Can't go wrong there. Staff were friendly and they do keep the place clean. Highly recommend.
Typical Chinese food ambience. Place seems pretty popular as it had a steady line since the time I arrived until I left. I got my usual plate of half & half with orange chicken and broccoli beef. The broccoli beef ended up being my favorite of the bunch. The orange chicken is a bit sweeter than other places, definitely has an tangerine aftertaste, after a while I was over it. Chowmein was pretty bland in my opinion, didn't have much flavor, the rice had a teeny bit more of flavor but still pretty bland. They also had rice noodles available. (White thin chowmein). The portion sizes were pretty good, I was full with half of the plate. The combo B runs just under $10 but I did get a 0.25 charge for using card so it came up about 10.15. There is also a surcharge for walnut shrimp, I believe it was about 1.25.
Restaurant was kept nice and tidy and employees were nice. Not the worst I've had but not the best, a bit below average in my books tho, but definitely give them a try, you might like it a bit more than I did .
I had a good experience. For $11, got a 2 meat/1side plate. Not bad. Tasted good too. For the price, I can’t really complain about anything. The people there are also so nice. I’ll be coming back again and again.
Orange chicken was not good. Make sure to ask for a sample I did for the orange chicken. They’re very stingy with the meat. Chicken wings were good. And chow mein is good! Prices were good overall though.
There was a lot of people here so I figured it must be good. I was wrong their orange chicken was the worst I ever had. It tasted like a pigeon and I never had that! I guess if you starving come here because you'll eat anything.
There was a Chinese food place on pico and la brea it was called Chinese food canton I searched far but non came close as good as this place did. The lady's that serve you here are real sweet I always leave them a generous tip because I don't want to ever see them go out of business.
Not pleasant she was so rude ask for a drink she full up of ice the cup that the drink. Not trying to be more understandable was nasty actitudes. Never again will come here.
Nice place,fresh food but pay attention, I ordered and payed for a 2 entry combo and just received 1.
