Best KPortal Reviews

I ordered from here via Grubhub and was excited, but almost immediately found a very long hair that was packaged with my kheer. I called and was refunded the amount quickly, but wasn't really offered anything else for this fairly substantial disappointment. The hair wasn't subtle and sort of put a bad taste in my mouth after that, especially when I wasn't quite put on hold and wasn't sure if the person helping me on the phone was talking to me or another customer. Otherwise, the food was good.
Again, I'm very happy that they refunded me and that was resolved, but I didn't leave with a great feeling and I didn't want to head to the store to pick up my kheer instead.
I can’t even count the number of times I’ve ordered from here, probably closing in on 100 - the food is that good and consistent! The standard order includes: palak paneer (rich spinach, creamy paneer, never greasy), Chana masala (I literally call it “a hug”), and dal makhani (just the right amount of heat). The mango lassi is perfectly thick and not too sweet. Sometimes I order just the samosa because I crave it so much. I could go on and on about the other dishes but it all comes down to quality ingredients, carefully made, in the same way for years. Portions are large for the price, we usually have leftovers for days. Hands down my favorite Indian restaurant in Chicago!
If you have never tried Indian Street food like Samosa Chaat, Paav bhaaji or Aaloo Paratha. Please visit Uru-Swati. I have been at this place, couple of times now and have absolutely loved their dishes. Also the servers here are very friendly, attentive and respectful and the food they serve, is also decorated very thoughtfully. Cleanliness and Hygiene wise also this restaurant stands out. I would recommend this place without any doubt and would like to say; come out and grab a dosa or a dish of samosa chaat at Uru-Swati.
Made a long drive to try, it was good! Chaat was a bit lackluster but Undhiyu was pretty nostalgic, Aalo paratha kept it's promise! Pretty great Gujarati food on the other side of the globe, loved the staff!
We ordered catering for 150 people, owner was so adamant about price, did not want to negotiate at all. The main downside is food, it was so tasteless and mild, some guests have diarrhea after eating basundi.
I called to place an order for veg Uppama. This is a dish you need to make fresh. I was told when I asked for no carrots that it is not fresh they make it in the morning and serve it through out the day. 2 problems, first they are not accommodating to the needs of the customer and second I am not paying for stale food. I do not recommend this place.
Frozen peas for pani puri.
Spoiled potatoe curry.
Really cold peas and unpleasant taste of chaat.
Anybody reading this review should know this place is not serving fresh food. They freeze it from their catering business and serve to dine in customers. From my experience this place is unhygienic an I should have never gone, I hope y’all will read before you step in this place.
Excellent Indian food. We had pani puri, idli, vada, veg biryani and malai kofta. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned. The idlis were soft and fluffy. The vada was perfect- crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The coconut chutney and sambar were both excellent as well! Our server was kind, and our food arrived quickly. We will definitely come back in the future!
