Best KPortal Reviews

I was hesitant to go here after reading some of the terrible reviews but it’s my mother-in-laws favorite nail salon. We just got a manicure with a top coat. ($15). I waited until my second visit to review. The staff on both occasions were welcoming and David did a fabulous job on my nails. The polish lasted two weeks, which was longer than I expected. Will go again.
I visit urban nails once a month and I always treat myself to their spa pedicures. They never disappoint me ! The shop is always clean and the staff is always so friendly. Today I tried their dip powder manicure ( I usually go to a different place for powder) and May did such a great job. I always leave Urban nails with a smile on my face. I highly recommend them .
My wife and I went there last weekend. I feel comfortable looking at those plants and Christmas trees. Really nice Christmas atmosphere. People are nice and friendly over there. It is also a very clean place. Overall I strongly recommend this place.
Very pretty salon, very clean. Nice color selections however extremely disappointed with my service. I originally wanted a full set then changed my mind to a basic gel manicure and a design on my ring finger. Was advised that my nails were too short to do the design so I opted into the full set. Was told that the gel was more natural looking. It’s definitely not. There isn’t any difference and it’s $15 more for the gel. Asked for it to be curved because my nails have a natural tendency to curve upwards. They aren’t curved they look like they lift up. As I stated I only decided on the full set because of the design I asked for and if not that exact something similar. Needless to say I left without a design on any of my nails. When it came to check out I honestly didn’t want to pay for my nails. And I shouldn’t have paid but I did because they did spend time on them. The pedicure was great. My wife’s nails look really nice but I was very disappointed with my service.
Terrible experience. Went multiple times and each time I waited more than 20 minutes to be seated. The first time I went, I was a walk in and it was expected to wait but still very annoying. The next time I went, I made an appointment in advance, I came 10 min before my appointment for a mani pedi. They had me sit down in the pedicure chair with no water, nothing happening for a full 35 min since my scheduled appointment time. No one acknowledged me and it wasn't until I glanced over a few times that someone came to fill it with water. Service was absolutely terrible, and I told the lady at the front desk when I went to pay my frustration for having to wait even with my appointment and she did not care and was just staring at my credit card waiting for me to pay, didn't look me in my eyes once. Absolutely terrible. And on top of it, my nails (pedi and manicure) started to chip after a few days. Not worth the time, the money or energy. Definitely will not be returning.
The worst nail salon experience of my life. I had UV gel still on my toes and the girl was about to paint over it so I asked her to take it off and she said no and painted over it. Then I had an acrylic set on and wanted a fill. So I told them I had an acrylic set on and she ripped off one of the nails, pulling my real nail up and said “no this is gel” and I explained that I watched the last place put acrylic on and we argued for a few minutes over it. Then she said she had to take all of my acrylics off because they had gotten water under them (which U agreed because that makes sense). Her taking the nails off was brutally painful. Then she said she was going to do a full new set and I told her I didn’t want that I just wanted paint now and she said “no you have to do acrylic now because your nails are thin” and I kept telling her that I did not want that because of how thin my nails were from it and she argued with me about it for 5 minutes. It was very clear that Urban nails tries to get money for any little thing they do for you. I would never go back or recommend Urban to anyone.
My first visit there and I’m sure I will never let Melanie do my nails, again. She rushed through the pedicure. She cut me twice while clipping my nails. She also did a manicure and left some of my old polish on my nails. When I complained about her cutting me. She just pulled my foot closer to her.
I visited today because of a recommendation from a friend. As soon as I walked in i was told 30 minutes for a wait time. I waited and my friend who got gel was done. I waited for an hour when finally someone seated me. Kerry did an amazing job, and gave me exactly what I wanted. When i finished, the girl at the register up charged me for one color acrylics $75! My friend who has gotten arcrylic with an actual design has paid $55. Extremely dissatisfied and was exhausted at that point.
