I came here for the first time as a walk in eyebrow wax. They were able to get me in right away. The lady who helped me was very nice! She did an excellent job - very careful and thorough. I will definitely be back.
There was also a woman who had her eyebrows tinted the same time I was there and they looked great.
My eyebrows have never looked so good! I didn’t think so at first though. I became upset and said they were crooked and the wrong color. The woman serving me, was an angel. She apologized and tried to fix them. She did the best she could it was amazing work! While I was stressing her out. She was so professional, and kind. I love this place and the women that work there! I will come back every time I visit Chicago. I’m sorry about being dramatic. I love my ibrows!
The woman doing my eyebrows was the roughest, in skills and demeanor. Not only did she not pay any attention to my requirement and made my eyebrows thin, but I also got back home with a cut under my left eyebrow. Felt like she was fighting some sort of a battle with my eyebrow. Went to this place seeing the ratings and reviews. Wonder who or what these rave reviews are for.
I received a service today & my eyebrows look horrible. I was not satisfied with my eyebrows & Told The Lady She Made My Eyebrows way too thin. Her response was that next time I should say no trimming or little trimming. You’re the professional you should ask if I want you to trim my eyebrows. I specifically told her not thin, just clean them up. I received the total opposite. I’ve been getting threading for years and never had anyone just trimmed my eyebrows off. I shouldn’t have paid, but I did and bowed gracefully.
My new favorite place! I used to go to another threading salon but recently they were too rough on my eyebrows that I would bleed on a spot or two and I would have tiny bumps for a couple days afterwards the areas that they threaded. They also raised their price. However, urban ibrows was the exact opposite. It's a little cheaper for the same service. They took their time threading my brows and at the same time it was painless. In the end, there was NO bleeding or baby bumps. And all this time I thought those were the cons of getting eyebrows threaded but now I know it was because of where I used to go. Keep up the great work ☺????
This place has great reviews only because of the two (Indian) ladies that work along side of the main woman who seems to run the place (the one with the very thick eyebrows) - unfortunately, I've had the main woman twice now and she is SO ROUGH and SO BAD AT THREADING that I've walked out with cuts and bruises!! I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for 15+ yrs and I have never had anyone cut me or be as rough as she is - she should seriously consider sticking to running the place and not threading. The worst part is she is not even apologetic for cutting you she'll just nonchalantly say "Oh you have a cut" as she slaps on aloe vera.
If you do decide to go here MAKE SURE you ask for the other ladies that work there - one of them is seriously the best at threading...I have never had someone thread me so painlessly but AVOID the mean, rough, unpleasant lady with the thick eyebrows.
The location is convenient and the store is really nice inside. Both the receptionist and the technician were really nice and everything was pretty quick. It's much cleaner and prettier than most threading salons. They are running a special of $9 brow threading since they just opened, so I don't know their normal price, but I would definitely go back.
Kala is great. She was very focussed and paid attention to what I said. After my previous incident with the eyebrows at another salon she redeemed it as much as she could and made them look so much better. She took the time to clean it little by little in order to avoid overdoing it, which I really appreciated. I definitely recommend Urban Ibrows and suggest you to take Kala's service. Besides everything else, she is also a very sweet lady.
