This place is excellent. Its black owned. It’s very clean, the owner is very courteous and knowledgeable .. they have an incentive for customers who sign up for rewards it helps knock off prices when checking out! This is a community staple due to the fact that there aren’t many beauty supplies in University Park. They have a good variety of EVERYTHING and the cutest outfits and accessories.. I’m a regular and make my stops here weekly.
The husband that works there had terrible customer service and very rude and pompous, learn how to speak to people and accommodate your customers, your business can be snatched from you in the blink of an eye! Customers make the stores go round tread lightly. Karma will do the work, keep it up!
Love these owners. Very engaged with the community. Provides advice on purchasing products. Always a positive atmosphere.
DON’T SHOP HERE IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE A WELCOMING AURA. Got mean mugged while going into the establishment today, the cashier which is named TONY as it appeared on the receipt. Waited to see if I was coming in with my husband and proceeded to beat us in. At this point walking in he was on the phone
“on speaker” with a man and never spoke to us not once! Didn’t ask if we even needed assistance which we needed because the items we was shopping for wasn’t there like jojoba oil and more items that focus on dreadlocs. My husband spoke to Tony and he didn’t respond. His attitude was Atrocious!!! I then proceeded to tell my husband we won’t be back amongst us and Tony said verbatim “you don’t have to come back.” I proceeded and said I’m not!!! This saddens my heart to write a review on a business but customer service is everything and this establishment lacks it. No lights hardly in the store makes it hard to even see what you about to purchase.
Nevertheless I have a small business and what you strive for is attracting potential customers to buy so you can keep your establishment open. I will never suggest anyone to shop here nor even give it a try driving past home. I’m only being nice putting the 1star rating
I absolutely love this beauty supply. The owner is so sweet and she has a variety of “must haves” that i personally couldn’t get anywhere else. What I love most is the vibe. I love a vibrant , professional, good spirited business owner! Thanks so much for your services to the community ????
Updated review Nov 2020: I gave it a try but the young man who runs the store is very impersonal and short with customers. I try to support local businesses, but this one I'll have to pass on.
Update 2023: the last time I will go to this store. The owner is flat out rude and still very impersonal. I’ll just drive to PF for my beauty needs.
I Enjoy coming into this place of business knowing I'm treated as a v.I.p. any questions I have/had they was eager to assist. The ladies speak with such passion on the items they have. Which gives me a sense of security and no buyer's remorse on anything I purchase. Thank you Urban Goddess for aiding and assisting our community. From the "PRINCES AND PRINCESS DAYS" on Every Tuesdays. The Every Friday "SPIN THE WHEEL OF DISCOUNTS" The "COMMUNITY SPEECHES" I MEAN YOU GUYS HAVE AND DOING IT ALL. PEACE, LOVE, AND BLESSINGS.
Always have what I need. Store owner is very friendly, great rewards program. Prices are reasonable and I like that the store is black owned!
