Wow! Amazing food and amazing service. We love this restaurant. It’s such a gem. The food is very unique but there’s something for everyone. Surprisingly, the seafood dishes were especially good and I highly recommend the scallops as they are perfectly cooked. The wine list is also eclectic and extensive. Overall great food and a great experience and atmosphere.
We were home for the holidays and my mom wanted to visit this restaurant based on a review she saw in the paper. My husband is Italian and we visit Italy often so we have fairly high expectations from an Italian restaurant.
Overall, very pleased with this restaurant. The entrees were superb. I had the strip steak al rosmarino, my husband the pollo con castagne e speck, my mom the scallops, and my aunt a pizza. All of these entrees were fabulous. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful. The cheese board was fresh and well plated. My salad, unfortunately, was so cold that my teeth hurt while eating it until it warmed up to room temp. We also had to wait awhile at the beginning for our appetizers and salads. That said, it was a very good meal. The wine list is quite impressive and the espresso was delicious. Will definitely return when visiting again in the future.
I used Yelp to help find a place to eat and I thought this place sound like a good place with all the reviews. When we walked in she asked if we had reservations and I looked around and thought this doesn't look like a pizza place or a casual grille atmosphere. But we was asked to wait in the lounge and they would get a table first us. We ordered the garlic breadsticks they was delicious with the parmesan cheese sauce. We got a pizza and it was very good. So my only problem with this place would be it is trying to be an upscale restaurant which is fine but maybe change the name to match your atmosphere. And make reservations.
Food is good but not a good value. The prices are VERY high and the portions are not what you'd expect for $20 per person. The pizza is great and priced like it should be. The service is GREAT
and there is a very fancy atmosphere, dress clothes not a T-shirt kind of place. There is very limited seating. Huge selection of wine small selection of overpriced beer.
What a wonderful surprise! All we were looking for was a place that wasn't fast food on our way from Chicago to Decatur and we got such a nice, delicious meal! The plates were beautiful and the waitress was kind. It took a while for the food but it was worth it. I'll make the hour and half drive to come back to try more of the menu.
Wonderful place for a great meal. This was our second visit. First visit we sat in the bar and had pizza. It was very good.
Yesterday Laura was our server. Attentive without overly so. Great recommendations regarding food and wine. Nice portions and fairly priced. Very pleasant and relaxing meal.
Menu items that would be very difficult if not impossible to find any where else in the area. Go and try Uptown.
I strongly agree with the other guests who gave high reviews and said "Why did we wait so long?" I can't wait to go back. The waitress knew the menu, the wines, & was very educated about food allergies. We were super impressed this place.
Phenomenal food and presentation. The entrees would be double the price in Oak Brook, Chicago etc. Shrimp scampi was delicious. Scallops were amazing. White chocolate raspberry cheesecake was amazing. Fine dining in an intimate atmosphere where each table feels like old friends. Ample free parking. Bring cash to avoid surcharge for using credit card.
A must visit restaurant. You will be coming back again and again.
