Authentic New York style ????, delicious mouth watering, flakey crust, robust, flavorful sauce, the sweet, and savory cheese blends it all together, creating a party on your pallet. If you can't make it to New York, let Upstate Pizzeria bring a slice of New York to you.
I'm not a huge fan of thin crust pizza (more of a medium crust guy) but this is done really well; it is probably the best NY style pizza I've had since visiting NYC. The crust is crunchy without overdoing it and the cheese + sauce are very solid. It's not mindblowing, but it is very good especially for the price and I would consider it one of the top pizza places in Colorado. The 4.8/5 Google rating is well-earned.
Awesome pizza especially on Tuesdays when they collaborate with the Joint for a vegan pizza of the week. If you see the elote one - run dont walk to try it! Its inside avenue 19 food hall concept.
Today we stopped for lunch at this place after hearing the great reviews. Patrick helped us make some choices on slices. We got the lunch special which includes two slices of your choice plus a soda. The pizza was delish! We loved the flavors and the crust. If you’ve never been here, then you are missing out. We thought Patrick was also great with letting us know about what options were available to us.
If you’re a New Yorker, you gotta make Upstate pizza your new go-to. We are so glad to have found this place!!! After trying so many places that claim to have NY pizza, this one is legit. Couldn’t be happier to have found real pizza. The owner is super nice too!!! We’ll be back, and will tell all our friends about it!!!
Finally some really good pizza, really good dough, and balanced tomato sauce. All the toppings would typically want.
We picked two 16”; half cheese and half basil & garlic and half pepperoni and half bbq chicken. We love it, literally inhale the pizza in 5 mins. This is new gem of a pizza joint in Colorado Springs and they are doing NY style just right.

Best pizza I’ve had in Colorado Springs. A lot of pizza places get 1 thing right. Good crust but bad sauce or vice versa. This place has the whole package. Crispy crust, flavorful sauce and quality toppings. Can’t wait to have it again.
Last week, my wife and I decided late to have a few slices of pizza. We heard great things about the new pizza place inside Avenue 19 called Upstate Pizzeria. We ventured over to the downtown area and arrived at Upstate Pizzeria. We were greeted by Rich who had great customer service. He was quick, efficient but also personable and learned how he’s from New York and that he’s always been around the pizza game.
On to the pizza, it’s New York style and you can order it by the slice or pie. We ordered 4 slices - 1 cheese, 1 pepperoni & 2 cheese with ricotta.
Each slice was consistent and cooked well. Great base with no flop and makes a great fold.
Once you take a bite the sauce takes over and is a standout. This sauce is balanced and matches well with the toppings throughout. Each bite allowed the same great crunch with plentiful toppings. Rich was very generous with the ricotta and I can definitely appreciate that.
These four slices were affordable and the taste outperformed the price.
Also the thin crust is a perfect compliment to the base of the pizza slices.
Overall, this is a no brainer decision. Come here if you want to enjoy great NY style pizza in Colorado Springs.
There’s no doubt that Upstate Pizzeria will be getting busier once word of mouth picks up. I can’t wait to see their business grow!
