Charming spot for coffee and a treat. Loved the service, coffee and decor!
My wife loves their basil and tomato soup, whilst I'm a huge fan of their sausage rolls. Service is friendly, and the decor is rough and ready. The coffee is good, but not the best that I've had, but they're consistent in quality, service and speed, which is important. Well worth popping along to for a bite to eat and a coffee.
Wow what a welcoming place that delivers excellent baked goods and coffee. The brothers do a fab job of making everyone feel special.
We've been here about 5 times. I wanted to like this place because it was local and I liked their style. But they have been constantly poor.
One time we took the only empty seats. It was piled with dirty plates. We waited 20 minutes trying to catch the server's eye to make an order. We eventually left.
The last visit I picked up some pastries and there were flies everywhere, crawling on the pastries. I asked why they didn't have a fly zapper and I was told that it was broken. Not good enough.
It's a shame that we've a such a poor experience so constantly because I like their food, they let themselves down by their service and attitude to hygiene.
The place is amazing. Amazing atmosphere, staff outgoing and friendly and welcoming. Not too intrusive or anything like that, perfect balance. I had a filter coffee which was brewed perfectly, balanced and great. Food was also amazing. Would highly recommend
Best coffee I've had out and about in ages. Well chosen and brewed. Great sourdough pizza. Wait time on food was too long though, as i was there for work lunch.
I had the tomato soup in a bread bowl. This was beautifully presented but was basically a warmed up tin of tomatoes. I mean that quite literally as there was no seasoning whatsoever and it was not even slightly liquidised so I couldn't even pretend it was soup. It was a warmed up tin of tomatoes and tasted like one! There were herbs/ salad to add to the "soup" and two tiny pesto croutons which made it just about edible. It was overpriced and the staff were not as genuinely welcoming as other cafes in the same Street. Never again!
Absolutely brilliant. Treated myself to lunch had a potatoes goats cheese and hetetoge tomatoes friyaya with salad, followed by a chocolate fruit cake of some sort.amd I really Don't know how theysnaged to cram so many of my favourite tastes on one plate. The salad had lovely beetroot chunks and figs and some great flavours. The chocolate cake, well, Wow!
